Modern Warfare 3 players have already experienced playlists containing different abilities to switch up the course of matches. With the Season 4 Reloaded update, its time for Warzone fans to use various Mutations, unleashed by the destruction of the Popov Power Plant. This guide contains all the details you need to know about the upcoming mode, as well as all the powers the Mutations grant.
Mutations are only active in Mutation Resurgence Quads and Buy Back Quads modes. The Resurgence variant focuses on dropping into the dilapidated Popov Power Plant, where Mutations are prominent. Both Resurgence and Buy Back modes won’t feature Tacticals and Lethals as ground loot, truly focusing on your new-found powers.

Mutations are in your DNA
Here is each and every mutation you can expect to see when you expose your Operator to enhancing abilities.
- Bioshield: Creates a protective bubble that blocks incoming damage but allows you to shoot out from within this sphere.
- Divebomb: Rocket into the air, then dive towards a target. On impact any nearby enemies are damaged and pushed back.
- Mutant Leap: Perform a charged jump that covers vast distances.
- Toxic Stim Cloud: Deploy a poisonous cloud that inflicts damage to enemies and boosts your squad mates’ speed for a short duration.
- Sludge Sling: Toss sludge grenades that explode into a toxic gas cloud on impact. The gas slows and damages enemies over time.
- Mutant Cloak: Turn partially invisible for a short time. You leave green footprints while cloaked.
- Mutant Vision: See enemies outlined in red through walls for a short duration.
On the surface, each Mutation appears as if it’ll be powerful. The Mutant Vision, Cloak, and Bioshield in particular could be game changers, especially towards the end of a match.
Now you know all about Mutations in Warzone, you’re ready for the mid-season update to launch on June 26, 2024.
