Fortnite: How to get Thorne’s Mythic Vampiric Blade

Fortnitemares 2023 is here and Halloween is well and truly underway on the Fortnite island. There’s spooky quests with various rewards up for grabs, new weapons, and a brand new boss to defeat. The boss is Kado Thorne, who has now unveiled his Vampire form. He is defending his turf with a Mythic Vampiric Blade and here’s how you can get it in your next match.

Although Chapter 4 Season 4’s loot pool contains Mythic weapons we’ve seen in previous seasons, Thorne’s Vampiric Blade is brand new.

How to get Thorne’s Mythic Vampiric Blade in Fortnite

Before you can get your hands on the mythic weapon, you’ll need to track down Vampire Kado Thorne. The boss can be found within the Eclipsed Estate vault which was previously locked. Now the vault is open, you can make your way inside and you’ll see Vampire Kado Thorne roaming the area.

As soon as you’re spotted, the boss will begin using all its weaponry against you. They’re equipped with the Mythic Drum Gun and of course, the Vampiric Blade. That’s not all, as Vampire Kado Thorne is capable of shooting red lasers at you.

It’s recommended that you fight the boss from a distance, since the powerful blade is able to slash through your health and propel you back. Make sure you have plenty of bullets, as well as health and shields to ensure you can stay in the fight. Once you’ve defeated the boss, the Vampiric Blade mythic will be dropped.

Thorne’s Vampiric Blade works very similar to the Kinetic Blade. It has three charges for you to use and a cooldown period of just 10 seconds between uses. By damaging an enemy with it, some of your health will slowly be restored. 

There’s no doubt that many players will be wanting to add Thorne’s Mythic Vampiric Blade to their Fortnite inventory, so be prepared to be contested.
