Fortnite: Every Plant and Their Function in Chapter 4 Season 3

June 11, 2023 by Lauren Sayles

How is your Fortnite plant knowledge?

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is here and we are taken to the Wilds.  The center of the Fortnite island has collapsed, unveiling a hidden jungle containing plants.

Keep in mind that plants only reside in the jungle and can’t be found in other areas of the map. You’ll find plants in the three new points of interest introduced in the update, Shady Stilts, Creeky Compound, and Rumble Ruins.

All Fortnite plants and how they work

Living in the jungle biome are four different types of plant. They each have their own function that can give you a competitive edge over your opponents:

Bomb Flower

Predominantly purple in color the Bomb Flower explodes when you shoot it, dealing damage to anything that is close enough to the blast. The detonation can hit enemies and destroy builds, making a lot of noise along the way.

Stink Flower

The Stink Flower is a yellow plant and as the name suggests, it can let off quite a stench. Shooting at the plant will release a cloud, dealing damage to any opponent inside. This plant is perfect for distorting enemy vision, or even getting them out from behind cover.

Slurp Plant

The Slurp Plant is the recognisable blue Slurp color. Hitting this plant with your pickaxe will replenish some of your health and shields.

Hop Flower

Hop Flowers are red and they almost look like jump pads. Maybe its because that’s what they are. You can use these flowers to jump up high and the best part is, you don’t take fall damage when your feet hit the ground. The extra mobility is incredibly useful when you’re navigating the jungle.

Now you know how every plant works in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, you can use them to your advantage in your next match.
