#11. Far Cry 5: How To Beat The Game In 10 Minutes | Easter Egg Ending Guide
Far Cry 5 features another early-ending Easter egg. Similar to Far Cry 4, you can choose to avoid the inciting incident of the story. In the beginning, your rookie deputy arrives at creepy cultist Joseph Seed’s compound to arrest him. If you choose to simply NOT arrest him, the game ends peacefully.
#12. Homefront: The Revolution – Playable Timesplitters 2 Easter Egg
In what might be the only good thing about Homefront: The Revolution, you can play a level of Timesplitters 2 when you visit a prison-turned-resistance hub. Just activate the arcade cabinet, and you’ll be transported directly to the first level of Timesplitters 2, which is itself an homage to Goldeneye.
#13. Just Cause 4: Transform Everyone Into Cattle With The Cow Gun | Easter Egg Guide
It was a tough call, but I’m going with the cattle gun as the best Easter egg in Just Cause 4. Sure, you can find a playable indie darling Easter egg based on Bennet Foddy’s Getting Up. That’s pretty dang cool. I just prefer turning everyone into a cow. The cows look hilarious, and with the secondary, you can change yourself into a bovine stunt-flyer. It looks about as ridiculous as you’d imagine.
#14. The Division 2: Summon A Secret Lvl. 35 Super Boss By Shooting A Light | Easter Egg Guide
We’re double-dipping and I’m selecting another cool secret from The Division 2. This is just a minor party of a massive Easter egg quest, challenging you to find hidden switches and activators that summon secret high-level bosses. They’re extremely tough, but each one you defeat rewards you with a unique hunter mask. Get them all, and you can even unlock an exotic weapon.
#15. NieR: Automata – How to Fight Lvl. 99 Emil | Secret Boss Battle Guide
Secret bosses are my favorite Easter eggs, and this hidden NieR: Automata boss even leads to an optional ending. The fight itself has some of the best music in the game — even if it isn’t nearly as hard as it sounds. It takes a very, very long time to reach Emil’s tragic final battle, but it’s absolutely worth it for fans of the series looking for a tiny bit of closure on this beloved character.
