Fallout 76: How To Get The Alien Blaster | Easter Egg Location Guide

November 26, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Discover a recurring Easter egg weapon in Fallout 76 with these steps. We’ll explain how to actually load the weapon, too.

There is exactly one Alien Blaster you can acquire in Fallout 76 — and it doesn’t even come with ammo. The Alien Blaster is an exotic energy weapon that doesn’t drop from enemies, and you won’t earn it in a quest. Nope, you’ll just have to find this sucker, sitting in a container at the bottom of a random pond. Good luck finding that without a little extra help.

Even after you’ve found the Alien Blaster, you won’t be able to shoot it until you track down a special mod. There’s a hard-to-find mod that allows you to substitute Fusion Cell ammo for Alien Blaster Ammo, making the Alien Blaster into a weapon you can actually use. The hidden weapon mod does come with a couple of Alien Blaster bullets — literally. You’ll find three. That mod is required, and you’ll learn how to get both the Alien Blaster and the ammo mod in the full guide below.

How To Get The Alien Blaster | Easter Egg Location Guide

The Alien Blaster returns in Fallout 76. The Alien Blaster is a special, unique Energy Weapon Pistol that requires Alien Blaster Ammo. Travel to the Toxic Valley — on the east edge of the water.

  • Where to Find the Alien Blaster: Found at the bottom of a pond, in the Toxic Valley. The dirty water is located between Graninger Farm and Phillippi Battlefield Cemetery. There’s an easy-to-spot bathtub in the ruins with an Alien Toy inside.
    • The Alien Blaster is located in a ruined safe, under the water.

The Alien Blaster is an Easter Egg weapon that can be found in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4. Unfortunately, this Alien Blaster doesn’t come with any ammo. You’ll have to build a mod that allows you to use regular Fusion Ammo — and that’s it’s own challenge.

The safe with the Alien Blaster also contains a Rusted Key. Next, travel to the Mount Blair Trainyard and unlock the case on the rooftop [Lockpick 2 Required] — you’ll find the TNT Dome Key 2. Use the TNT Dome Key at the Black Mountain Ordnance Works, south of the Tyler County Fairgrounds.

Opening the TNT Dome, you’ll find the Alien Blaster Mod and some Alien Blaster Ammo. The mod, when installed, allows you to use Fusion Cells as ammo — which you can actually obtain in the game.
