The Last Of Us Part 2

  • Developer: Naughty Dog
  • Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • Platforms: PS4
  • Release: TBA

The Last of Us launched back in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and since its release, the IP grew into a phenomenon. Developers Naughty Dog starts by ripping your heart at the start and leave you desperately wanting to unfold more of the narrative. Not only did The Last of Us hold an incredible narrative storyline, but the game also featured a widely beloved action-adventure experience.

Within the first title, players predominately took on the role of Joel who was in charge of delivering a young girl named Ellie to an anti-government organization. Most of the world has become decayed with a fungus type virus turning most of humanity into a zombie-like creature.

This resulted in a grand adventure full of stealth and action as you battle not only the infected but also other dangerous groups of civilians seeking to survive by any means. You’ll, of course, run into all sorts of interesting and bizarre individuals on your journey within the first title and we expect that experience to easily bleed over into the upcoming sequel.

Not too many details have been released so far with The Last of Us Part 2. From what we know so far is that the game narrative will take place five years after the events of The Last of Us and that players can expect Joel along with Ellie to return.

Beyond Good & Evil 2

  • Developer: Ubisoft
  • Publisher: Ubisoft

Beyond Good & Evil first hit the market back in 2003 and it easily left gamers itching for a sequel, but since its release, that fabled sequel has been under wraps. That was until 2017 when Beyond Good & Evil 2 was revealed, though unfortunately for those looking to continue on with the first narrative, this next title is actually a prequel.

We know that the game will follow our protagonist from a struggling pirate to a captain of a massive star-faring vessel. If this upcoming Beyond Good & Evil 2 is anything like the first title in the series then we can expect some entertaining narrative full of adventure. Likewise, this will be an open-world video game but it’s uncertain how active the in-game world will be or if there are events available to take part of when you’re freely explore.

Instead of tracking down and bringing in the wanted, Deacon will need to use his finely tuned abilities as a means to survive this zombie apocalypse. The game will play out somewhat similarly with the zombies found in Dying Light. Depending on the time of day and the conditions could result in harder creatures to deal with. Players are introduced to a small city within Europe which acts as a safe haven from the zombie threats that lurk outside. However, this city is filled with butting factions leaving players with the ability to work with different factions or pin them against each other. As a result, players will have more freedom of choice that will result in gameplay narrative consequences. There are still plenty of details that Sega is holding away from the public at the moment but during a PlayStation Lineup Tour event, Sega unveiled Judge Eyes. The game follows a lawyer who is seeking out clues in order to get at the bottom of a crime. Being that this is the development team who was also responsible for bringing out the Yakuza series, you can expect a similar combat system.

For instance, the gameplay footage showcased does follow our protagonist fighting a group of enemies with hand-to-hand combat. We’re unsure if this game will also see any action taking place in a courthouse much like the Ace Attorney series.

For now, we only know a brief synopsis of Judge Eyes along with some gameplay footage.

Thanks to a busshi our shinobi manages to keep his life. In place of his missing arm is a prosthetic that players will be able to equip different gadgets and tools to use again enemies. While the developers FromSoftware may be best known for their Souls series lately, it appears that the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be a bit different.
