Metal Gear Survive Walkthrough | Chapter 13 - Secure Singularity 02

Zombies will stumble off rooftops and steps if you position yourself just right, making them easy targets for a sharp melee weapon.

There’s another singularity to secure in Metal Gear Survive — this is the second of these singleplayer missions, but thankfully you’ll be better equipped than ever to survive a Wanderer rush. There are three useful large containers in the village south of Transporter 10, and you’ll want to get all the recipes before starting this mission.

There’s a powerful spear, an assault rifle, ammo, and a machine gun turret — all within walking distance of the singularity digger placement circle. Look inside the village homes around the town square, and navigate up to a crashed convoy on the side of the road leading to the nearby Clear Zone to get a turret. You absolutely must not miss that turret. It’s a life saver.

Objective: Place and activate wormhole digger at singularity

Finally, you’ll unlock a Food Supply Team and a Medical Team. The castaway we recently brought back to Base Camp, Nicholas, is especially helpful when it comes to cooking up provisions, so let’s place him

in the Food Supply Team.

Base Camp Update: You’ll be able to build a Smoker, too. Grab some meat while hunting to discover smoked meat recipes – smoked meat products will not degrade, and give you different buffs depending on the type of meat. It’s also a good idea to put Miranda on the Medical Team and construct some medical farms. Assign people to all the crews, build a little bit of everything, and you’ll have a self-sustainable base in no time.

Don’t miss the castaway distress signals! Talk to your staff – one of the signals is located near Transporter 10 – you can find a very helpful Balloon Trap at the outpost with the castaway.

When you’re stocked up on fences, walls, mines, lures, and molotovs, it’s time to return to the large village we passed through on the way to Transporter 10. This is another Singularity mission. Like last time, you’ll have to hold out against three waves of enemies, placing traps / defense units on the red paths to defend the digger.

NOTE: Before starting this mission, collect the Heavy Machine Gun turret recipe from the crashed convey, just down the hill from Transporter 10, in the Dust. Place a turret near the Wormhole Digger and you can fight through even the toughest wave of wanderers.

The wanderers in this mission will use the rooftops and building interiors to reach you. Don’t set up defenses until you actually see where the wanderers are coming from. I recommend keeping the fences, walls, and mines ready – just place a mine on the ground when a large group approaches to wipe them all out.

Bombers will also spawn on the rooftops, making them harder to reach. Don’t forget you can circle around them, even when they see you, and still perform a backstab. You can also shoot them in their weak point to kill them before they explode. If you have a turret, aim for the legs and cause them to explore before they reach your digger.
