Fortnite: How to Earn a Double Elimination | Challenge Guide

July 28, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Not one, but two.

Pirates of the Caribbean is just one of many franchises to get a Fortnite crossover and it allows you to get a taste of life as a pirate. A ship has parked itself towards the middle of the map, changes have been made to the loot pool, and a themed event allows you to earn a range of cosmetics. If you want to snag all the rewards available, you have some quests to complete and one of those asks you to get a double elimination in Fortnite.

Due to players mostly being spread across the island, getting a double kill may not be as easy as it seems. This guide contains the best method for getting this challenge ticked off your list.

How to get a double kill in Fortnite

The best way to achieve a double elimination in Fortnite is to hop in either Duos or Squads in the Reload mode. If you knock an enemy without eliminating them, you can then down another member of their team who will likely be close by. Once they’re both knocked, you can then quickly get the full kill on both players to secure a double elimination.

By playing the Reload mode, you’ll have an abundance of opportunities to earn a double elimination since respawns are enabled. However, you can complete the quest in regular battle royale modes either on your own in team-based playlists or with friends.

It’s recommended that you land at hot drops to increase enemy encounters. This includes Nitrodome, Restored Reels, and Reckless Railways, for example.

As soon as you get a double elimination, the challenge will be marked as complete and you will receive a total of 5,000 XP for your efforts. At the same time, the quest will assist your progress towards the Cursed Sails pass.
