Law-Abiding Citizen
“A good Cascadian follows the rules.”
What are the rules? No running allowing. Being Faith, this isn’t exactly natural, but completing this challenge will earn you an easy runner kit.
- This is unlocked right at the start of the game. Open the Mission Select tab in the Pause Menu and replay Mission 1 if you missed it.
- After Faith is released from jail, you’ll appear on the path with a Kruger add on the security glass ahead.
- From this point on, WALK — do not run. It’s okay to run for a split-second if you accidentally nudge the controller too far, but try not to.
- Failing will require you to restart from the checkpoint.
- Continue to walk until you reach the stairs leading down to the underpass. The trophy / achievement will unlock and reward you with a Runner Kit.
Praise the Run
“Reach full focus and keep it going.”
Focus is the measure of Faith’s special abilities — her Focus Shield and her ability to use Runner’s Vision. Focus is charged by moving fast and fluid through the environment.
- To earn this trophy / achievement, just fill your Focus Meter and keep it full for 90 seconds.
- This can be accomplished by running in a wide circle. You don’t need to vault or jump — running is all you need.
- Don’t climb pipes or ladders. This will break your flow.
- Don’t take tight turns or stop and turn around.
- Don’t fall too far or miss the Skill Roll.
- Complete “Reunion” and return to Noah’s Safehouse called “The Lair” — Faith can circle this area for 90 seconds, staying along the exterior ring of the building to earn an easy Runner Kit.
Peak Performer
“Get a 3-star rating on all Dashes in the main game.”
Don’t worry about going for this achievement / trophy early in the story. Wait until you’ve explored every zone in the City of Glass and earned plenty of Movement and Gear upgrades.
- Dashes are tough at first, but become trivial once you’ve unlocked all the right traversal abilities in the Progression Menu under the Movement tab.
- Best Abilities to Unlock:
- Movement – Climb Efficiency
- Movement – Extended Slide
- Movement – Coil
- Gear – Magrope
- More Tips for Dashes:
- Always Shift after a traversal to keep Faith’s speed up.
- Use Skill Roll on long falls or to recover out of slides quickly.
- Always Coil after every jump — long or short.
- Avoid ladders and pipes.
- Best Abilities to Unlock:
Veteran Runner
“Shift, Wallrun, Jump, Coil, Skill Roll, Shift.”
The first tricky challenge requires two Movement abilities and cannot be completed until the Skill Roll and Coil skills are unlocked in the Progression menu.
- Before attempting this challenge, unlock the “Skill Roll” and “Coil” abilities under the Movement tab in the Progression Menu.
- To complete this challenge, you’ll need to complete this sequence of moves: Shift, Wallrun, Jump, Coil, Skill Roll, Shift
- PS4: [R2] -> [L1]+Wall -> [L1] -> [L1]+[L2] -> HOLD [L2]+Landing -> [R2]
- XBO: [RT] -> [LB]+Wall -> [LB] -> [LB]+[LT] -> HOLD [LT]+Landing -> [R2]
- Find any wall. Stand still and follow these steps:
- Shift from standing still, wallrun, jump off the wall and coil mid-jump, skill roll on the landing, then shift again.
- Follow those steps and you’ll earn a Runner Kit.
Easy Runner
“Springboard, Wallclimb, Turn, Jump, Coil, Skill Roll.”
This challenge requires another additional Movement ability. Make sure to unlock “Quickturn” in the Progression Menu this time.
- Required Unlockable Skills: Skill Roll, Coil & Quickturn
- To complete this challenge, you’ll need to do this sequence of moves: Springboard, Wallclimb, Turn, Jump, Coil, Skill Roll
- PS4: HOLD [L1] ->Wallrun (Vertical)+[R1] -> [L1] -> [L1]+[L2] -> HOLD [L2]+Landing
- XBO: HOLD [LB] ->Wallrun (Vertical)+[RB] -> [LB] -> [LB]+[LT] -> HOLD [LT]+Landing
- Right outside the Triumvirate Drive safehouse, you’ll find a safety railing right next to a large black wall. Use this to complete the challenge.
- Springboard off the railing, wallrun vertically against the wall, quickturn mid-vertical-run, jump and coil, then skill roll on the landing.
- Get that down and you’ll unlock a Runner Kit.
Undetected Surge
“Shut down any gridNote without notifying KrugerSec of your presence.”
This challenge can be completing on your first gridNote Run mission about 25% through the main story. This is a required mission and can’t be missed.
- The easiest time to complete this challenge is when unlocking the first gridNote.
- You’ll fail the challenge if you touch any of the blue lasers.
- To complete this challenge, follow these steps from the gridNote entrancy.
- Deactivate the fan and climb the servers into the central chamber.
- Wallrun over the two lasers on the left.
- Climb the ledge, turn right, and wallrun over the gap.
- Continue up. Wallrun and jump to reach the platform over the laser. Jumping and grabbing the ledge will set off this laser.
- Wallrun and reach the server back against the wall straight ahead. Climb up the servers.
- Jump over the laser — don’t trip and have to grab the ledge, this will set off the laser.
- Wallrun around the corner with the horizontal blue laser.
- Climb up and continue to the next corner. The ledge is high, so wall-run and jump off the wall to reach the next platform.
- Continue toward the central funnel and turn left. Climb the servers on the right down this path.
- Turn around 180 at the top, wallrun to reach the pole and swing forward. Climb the two black ledges ahead.
- On the platform leading to the central circle, you’ll see three lasers blocking the way. Wallrun and jump to the high ledge back after the two previous climbs, then wallrun and jump to get over the lasers.
- Go toward the two lasers on the right that are very close together. Wallrun over them and don’t grab hold of the ledge. Climb up to the next level.
- The rest of the way is free and clear of lasers. Follow the straightforward path into the enclosed room, climb the servers, jump into the vent, and kick the cover off to finally hack the node.
Tenacious Traceur
“Wallrun, Turn, Jump, Wallclimb, Turn, Jump, Wallclimb, Turn, Jump”
This challenge doesn’t require anything new from Faith. As long as you have the Quickturn ability unlocked, this can be done just about anywhere with two narrow walls. One easy location isn’t found until later in the story.
- Required Unlockable Skills: Quickturn
- To complete this challenge, you’ll need to do this sequence of moves: Wallrun, Turn, Jump, Wallrun (Vertical), Turn, Jump, Wallrun (Vertical), Turn, Jump
- PS4: [L1]+Wallrun -> [R1] -> [L1] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [R1] -> [L1] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [R1] -> [L1]
- XBO: [LB]+Wallrun -> [RB] -> [LB] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [RB] -> [LB] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [RB] -> [LB]
- Start at Plastic’s Safehouse and drop down to the skybridge connection down the long vertical shaft. One turn from the skybridge, you’ll find a narrow hallway with plenty of vertical headroom.
- Wallrun into the wall, quickturn, jump, and wallrun vertically into the opposite wall. This is accomplished by jumping into the wall while directly facing it. Wallrun a few steps up, then quickturn and jump again. Wallrun a second time, turn, and jump to complete this challenge.
- Once again, you’ll earn a Runner Kit for your hard work.
George’s Garrison
“Springboard, Swingbar, Jump, Wallclimb, Turn, Jump, Coil”
This tricky challenge requires a very specific set of obstacles that aren’t so easy to locate in the City of Glass. The downtown Gridnode is a good place to start.
- Required Unlockable Skills: Coil, Quickturn
- To complete this challenge, you’ll need to do this sequence of moves: Springboard, Swingbar, Jump, Wallrun (Vertical), Turn, Coil
- PS4: HOLD [L1] -> Swingbar -> [L1] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [R1] -> [L1]+[L2]
- XBO: HOLD [LB] -> Swingbar -> [LB] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [RB] -> [LB]+[LT]
- Use the Downtown Gridnode to do this one. Use the Pause Menu to replay the mission if you’ve completed it already. Travel part of the way up to the first hallway with hanging yellow cords. Climb up the first ledge in this hallway with a wallrun and jump, then climb the second small ledge. There should be a short ledge Faith can springboard off and onto a swingbar. From here, begin your run.
- Start by springboarding off the low ledge to reach the swingbar pole. Jump off the pole and hit the wall ahead for a vertical wallclimb. Quickturn, jump over the pole, and enter into a coil.
- That’s all it takes. Enjoy a Runner Kit.
Danger Zone
“Reach full focus and take out 10 enemies before it runs out.”
This tricky trophy requires Faith to defeat 10 enemies with full focus. There are a few ways to make this achievement / trophy easier to unlock, and one good place to get started.
- Before attempting this trophy, unlock any upgrade related to the first two tiers of melee enemies, and any upgrades for the first tier of ranged enemies.
- Certain Progression upgrades allow Faith to do more damage to enemies — unlock those first to make this challenge much easier.
- At the end of Main Mission 7: Flytrap (Can be replayed from the Pause Menu) you’ll face off against several waves of enemies.
- Your focus meter can deplete, but don’t let it run out completely.
- In the large arena, run circles around the enemies as they drop down to completely fill your focus.
- Once it’s full, charge in and use Quick Attacks, especially in conjunction with slides, high-jumps, or wallruns. Use Heavy Attacks to knock opponents off ledges or into each other, and try to attack armored Protectors from behind or the side — use the Dash ability to swing around to their side.
- Shock Troopers can be a problem. Use Traversal Attacks (mentioned above) to deal with them, or attack from behind. Play it safe — keeping up focus isn’t hard as long as you keep moving, and there is no time-limit for this challenge.
- While completing this challenge, it’s easy to get “Hey It’s-a-Me Again” at the same time. Just finish off the last enemy in the ambush with a highground attack.
Hey It’s-a-Me Again
“Perform a highground attack as a finishing move.”
As mentioned above, the highground attack challenge is easy to get in Mission 7: Flytrap, but it can be earned just about anywhere with several enemies and a high ledge to jump from.
- To perform a highground attack, jump off a ledge and use a Quick Attack to hit enemies from above. A prompt will appear as you fall, helping you target them.
- The highground attack must be the final attack in a combat sequence. Combat must end with this attack — so no more enemies standing.
- It also must defeat the last enemy. Just doing damage isn’t enough.
- Clear the rooftop arena of enemies at the end of Mission 7: Flytrap until only one is left. Lead him down into the lowest section, climb up to the high ledge, and jump off once he’s at about half-health or less.
- If you’re having trouble, try weakening multiple enemies and finishing each off with a highground attack. Time-consuming, but it will almost guarantee you’ll get this Runner Kit.
Seb’s Salute
“Shift, Springboard, Wallrun, Swing Pipe, Skill Roll”
Almost done with the movement challenges. This stunt requires one of the vertical swing pipes that allows Faith to turn corners so quickly.
- Required Unlockable Skills: Skill Roll
- To complete this challenge, you’ll need to do this sequence of moves: Shift, Springboard, Wallrun, Swing Pipe, Skill Roll
- PS4: [R2] -> HOLD [L1] -> Wallrun into Swing Pipe -> [L2]
- XBO: [R2] -> HOLD [L1] -> Wallrun into Swing Pipe -> [L2]
- This challenge is fairly simple, as long as you’ve found a spot on the map with a swing pipe and have the coil ability mastered. Find Swingpipes on the outer edges of Triumvirate Drive or other exterior points on the map. Most of the buildings will feature swing pipes to make up for the fact there’s nothing beyond the map limits for Faith.
- Go to any Swing Pipe and start your sequence; dash forward from a standstill with a shift, springboard off any low obstacle, wallrun into a swing pipe, and land with a skill roll.
- No problem.
Belle of the Ball
“Vault, Slide, Jump, Wallclimb, Turn, Jump, Wallrun, Turn, Jump, Skill Roll.”
This is the final traversal challenge, and one of the most complicated.
- Required Unlockable Skills: Quick Turn, Skill Roll
- To complete this challenge, you’ll need to do this sequence of moves: Vault, Slide, Jump, Wallrun (Vertical), Quickturn, Jump, Wallrun, Quickturn, Jump, and Skill Roll
- PS4: [L1] -> [L2] -> [L1] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [R1] -> [L1] -> Wallrun -> [R1] -> [L1] -> [L2]
- XBO: [LB] -> [LT] -> [LB] -> Wallrun (Vertical) -> [RB] -> [LB] -> Wallrun -> [RB] -> [LB] -> [LT]
- You’ll need plenty of obstacles and walls to complete this. Find plenty across the skybridge from Plastic’s Safehouse. There’s a blue-hued lounge filled with benches and glass walls. Perfect for this challenge.
- In the open lounge area, vault over any glass barrier and immediately slide. After this you can run — it will not stop the sequence — so run through the open clear doors and wallclimb up a corner wall. It must be very close to another wall so you can immediately wallrun after quickturning and jumping. Once you’re wallrunning, things are easy — quick turn, jump, and stick the skill roll landing.
- This is a tough one and will require multiple attempts to get right. Goodluck out there, runner.
