Star Wars Outlaws: How to Destroy Walls | Bolt Blaster Upgrade

September 10, 2024 by Matt Villei

Break down the walls.

As you explore Star Wars Outlaws, you will eventually come across walls that stand out from all the others. These stone walls have orange moss growing from them and will often block your path to hidden locations and treasures. Not even one of the missile or grenade launchers can crack these walls, so players who are trying to track down all the secrets this game holds might be stumped on how to get past this obstacle. Luckily, we here at Gameranx have got you covered! This guide will show players how to destroy walls and how to get the Bolt Blaster Upgrade in Star Wars Outlaws.

How to Destroy Walls in Star Wars Outlaws

The Bolt Configuration for you Blaster doesn’t become available until you are able to escape Toshara, the planet that Kay crashes onto after the opening hours of the game. In order to get off Toshara and explore other planets, you will need to complete “The Wreck” Story Quest. You will get a navigation computer for The Trailblazer’s Hyperdrive which will allow you to travel across the galaxy. At the end of the quest, you will be told to visit Kijimi, Akiva, and Tatoonie with each planet having several unique Story Quests to complete. While the game suggests that you visit Kijimi first, you can go to any planet in any order.

Upon completing the first Story Quest on any of these planets, your new droid companion ND-5 will tell you that he has something for you and will begin the “Gunsmith” Story Quest. Return to The Trailblazer and ND-5 will give you the Power Capacitor Key Part. Go to the nearby workbench to upgrade the blaster and unlock the powerful Bolt Blaster.

With this configuration equipped, you can unleash a devastating charge attack by holding down the trigger for a few seconds. This can be great at wiping out an enemy but is also the only way to break through the orange moss-covered walls. Simply shoot one of these charged shots from a Bolt-equipped Blaster and the wall will crumble down, granting you access to whatever area or treasure that is found behind it.

So, now you can track down the Bolt configuration and destroy these weakened walls found all across the galaxy in Star Wars Outlaws. Stay tuned to Gameranx for more news, updates, and guides for Star Wars Outlaws and other great games in the future.
