Xbox July Event Live Stream Full Recap

Microsoft has been doing monthly streams all about the Xbox brand and this month, July of 2020, we are getting a stream dedicated to video game titles releasing for the Xbox Series X. We imagine there will be some great first-party reveals along with some new video game announcements. One of the games we’re sure more than a few are eager to see is Halo Infinite as last year’s E3 we only got a cinematic trailer with gameplay promised for E3 2020.

This event will happen at 12 PM EST which you can view the video stream embedded above. Afterwards, we’ll update this post with a quick recap of all the content unveiled.

Halo Infinite

We finally get a look at Halo Infinite gameplay. The demo picks up what seems shortly after the E3 2019 trailer cinematic and as expected Master Chief is going on to finish the war. Interestingly enough, this looks like it will be an open-world type of experience. There does look to be some new weapons and even some abilities for players to make use of such as a grapple system or enemies losing their armor after getting hit with a series of gunshots. So far a multiplayer component is set to be unveiled in the coming months.

State of Decay 3

The state of Decay franchise has two mainline installments so far but it looks like a third entry is in the works. We only got a cinematic trailer to check out the announcement so far, which looks like the virus will play a big role in wildlife. We’re certainly interested in seeing just how much of a difference this game acts compared to the previously launched State of Decay 2.

The Forza Motorsport franchise will be represented on the Xbox Series X. We got a look at a new trailer for those that enjoy the racing series and just like with all the other games on this list, you’ll get access to the title at launch with the Xbox Game Pass.

Rare has a new game in the works which is set in a fantasy world that has a focus around nature and wildlife bonds. It looks like it will be an adventure game with a mix of magic and sorcery to call upon gods. Of course, that is speculation right now as we’ll have to wait a bit more to see how this game shapes up.

Tell Me Why

Dontnod Entertainment’s latest game also received a new trailer. This is a story based around two siblings that are forced into going back to their old hometown. With the ability to get visions from their old memories, the duo is hoping to pick up the missing pieces of their troubled life in hopes of figuring out more about their troubled mother. Obsidian Entertainment showcased a new trailer for Grounded and they really know how to make a fun marketing campaign. This is a game where players get shrunk down to the size of an ant and forced to fight off all sorts of creepy crawlers. While it may not be the big RPG game that the development studios are known for, it should be a nice change of pace for the development studio to try out.

Obsidian Entertainment is keeping busy as they unveiled their next big RPG Experience coming out known as Avowed. We only got a cinematic teaser for the game so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see this first-person epic.
