Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate has landed on the Nintendo Switch, and you can keep your save file if you’re already started Monster Hunter: Generations on the 3DS.
Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate doesn’t have all the upgrades and enhancements of Monster Hunter: World. Instead, this is all about the content — lots and lots of content. There are over a hundred monsters to fight, with 15 weapons and 6 hunter styles to play around with. That’s a whole lot of stuff, even if it’s still a slower, more difficult experience.
This is an older title in the Monster Hunter series, so everything Monster Hunter: World did to improve the franchise is gone here. Ultimate is actually an upgrade to Monster Hunter: Generations, a 2015 release that was previously exclusive to Nintendo 3DS. If you’re willing to lose some quality of life features, this is still top tier Monster Hunter. Keep on hunting, hunter.
