Fortnite Is Reportedly Adding Its First Gen AI Characters With Tung Tung Tung Sahur And Ballerina Cappuccina

Fortnite is breaking new ground and crossing a line with its first generative AI characters.

As shared by ShiinaBR on Twitter, there are two new skins for two infamous Italian brainrot characters, Tung Tung Sahur and Ballerina Cappuccina.

Italian brainrot is a specific AI meme that first became popular last year. These memes usually pair an AI generated picture of an anthropomorphic object turned human, with a verse narrated by text-to-speech.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur is an Indonesian anthropomorphic log who carries a baseball bat. His name is a verse implying that if a Muslim is not devout enough to go to Sahur (Ramadan breakfast), he will come for you.

Ballerina Cappuccina is an anthropomorphic teacup face with a ballerina body. Both characters should not have any copyrights, but Epic Games has not added any public domain characters to Fortnite before.

So it’s possible that this is happening after Epic made a deal to license them both. After the week that Epic has had, we would not recommend that they invite an AI generated controversy on top of it.
