What is hip firing in Fortnite?
Hip firing means to shoot your weapon without aiming down sight. Therefore, to deal damage while hip firing, simply point your weapon in the direction of your opponent and shoot at them without aiming down sight.
If you’re attempting to complete a hip fire challenge, we recommend hopping into a match of Fortnite Reload. Since you respawn in this mode, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to come face to face with enough opponents and achieve the required amount of hip fire damage or kills.
Make sure you’re getting up close and personal with the enemy, as landing hip fire shots at range will be a difficult task. Place yourself in areas where you’re likely to engage in short close-quarter fights such as the narrow hallways of a building, for example.
In addition, we suggest using a submachine gun to get hip fire kills as it is the most natural hip fire option, so it’s likely you’ll find more success landing hip fire shots, especially at close range. There are multiple submachine gun options to choose from this season, so pull out your preferred option and fire away!
As always, completing Fortnite quests gives you an XP reward, so they’re definitely worth completing.
