By the time that players make it to Sink or Swim, they’ll have finally made it to the third world in Sackboy: A Big Adventure. While the world has an underwater theme, the mechanics don’t shift to be entirely focused on being underwater. Instead, the levels just follow an underwater theme meaning that the backgrounds, platforms, and enemies look aquatically dressed and the outfits available in Zom Zom’s take up a nautical nature as well.
Sink or Swim doesn’t use underwater physics, but it does rely heavily on a new mechanic: a grappling hook which can be used to reach new areas and grab enemies.

Dream Orb #1
The first Dream Orb isn’t found until partway through the level. Play through the level as normal until you get to a section that has two schools of fish switching between platforms acting as temporary bridges. On the platform to the north, you’ll find a mystery prize egg, but instead of going north to grab it, head to the platform to the east. On the east side of the eastmost platform, you’ll see the first Dream Orb sitting on a platform that’s blocked off with crates. Use your grappling hook to pick up the crates and throw them away to make a path to the orb. Jump up to get it.
Dream Orb #2
The second Dream Orb comes in the section immediately following the one where you got the first orb. After using the fish to get across the gaps, you’ll find yourself in a larger area with a few enemies. Take care of them and then head northwest to find a glowing treasure chest.
When you get close to it, the chest will begin to run away from you. Chase after it and hit it until it stops moving, opens up, and drops its contents onto the ground. Inside will be a Dream Orb along with some bells.
Dream Orb #3
Continue through the level as normal until you get to an area with a set of drawers to the north that has its top drawer open and a Knight’s Energy cube on it. Instead of heading east as the level directs you to do, head west and you’ll find another school of fish alternating between two positions between a rod that you can grapple on.
When far away, the fish serve as a platform you can stand on to grab the third Dream Orb. Grapple onto the rod and then wait until the fish are under the orb. When they are, jump across and grab it.
Dream Orb #4
Immediately after getting the third orb, you’ll need to swing across some rotating rods to the east to progress. Halfway through the platforming section, you’ll see a mystery zipper door above you. Use the rods to swing up to it and then enter it.
Inside, you’ll see a large creature with its mouth open. Ring the gong on the south side of the room and then use your grapple hook to grab all of the peppers that fall from the ceiling and throw them into its mouth. Once they’ve all been thrown in, the creature will spit out the fourth orb.
Dream Orb #5
After getting the fourth Dream Orb, continue to the east until you get to a large area. To the north, you’ll see a platform with two enemies on it guarding the fifth Dream Orb. Use your grapple hook to swing across to them, take them out, and then grab the final Dream Orb.
