There’s a lot more train to explore in Chapter 4: Spring, but not very many collectibles to find. This is an obligatory section of the Metro Exodus collectibles guide — there are transition chapters between each major event that take place exclusively on the Aurora, a train captured by the Spartan soldiers of Moscow on their quest to contact the central authority of Russia.
One of the benefits of these in-between chapters is that you can spend more time with the characters. Stop and they’ll offer lots of unique dialogue. You can listen to conversations, interact with friends, learn more about motivations, backstory, and much more. The train continues to expand, with more characters and locations to explore with each visit. Make the most of it!

There are two types of collectibles in Metro Exodus; diary pages and postcards.
Find all 70 diary pages and all 21 postcards to unlock the ‘Librarian‘ and ‘Old World Pictures‘ achievements / trophies.
- Diary #24: Check the cabin right next to the starting area to find the one and only collectible in this chapter.
You’ll also unlock a new Tikar Rifle weapon upgrade part. The workbench seems to give you a free upgrade after every major story event — even multiple times during the same chapter. Make sure to stop in at the work bench and check in often to see if there’s something new waiting for you.
If you completed two side-quests, you’ll have different encounters in this section. Bring back the teddy bear to get a special reaction from the little girl you’ve rescued. You can also check in one of the train cars and play the guitar — if you liberated it from one of the bandit camps. That one is especially hidden; after collecting the guitar, you never have to turn it in. The special event will just appear in this Chapter.
