Will Starfield have mod support?
Yes, Starfield will have full mod support. Bethesda’s Todd Howard confirmed this in a Reddit AMA back in 2021.
When asked “What type of mod support can we expect to see in creation kit engine 2 for Starfield?” Howard responded with “Our plan it have full mod support like our previous games. Our modding community has been with us for 20 years. We love what they do and hope to see more make a career out of it.”
Starfield already demands a hefty 125GB of storage space. That number is only set to increase depending on the mods you choose to download. Therefore, you may want to clear some extra space ahead of time, so you can begin downloading and using mods as soon as they become available.
There’s no doubt that modders will be hard at work making both useful and whacky mods to enhance our Starfield experience.
Starfield will launch on September 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. It will also be playable via Game Pass on day one.
