In this guide, we’ll explain how to get Fiend Roses in Diablo 4. Fiend Roses are a rare crafting material in Diablo 4 that can’t be collected until the endgame. They’re one of the most important materials for upgrading Legendary (and beyond) gear. The game really won’t explain where to get Fiend Roses, so if you’re lost and confused, we’ve got a straightforward answer below.

The short version: they’re only available in the endgame content. You’ll have to complete the story and unlock World Tier 3. That’s totally fine, because there’s no reason to enchant Legendary gear until after completing the story — you’ll want to keep Legendary and Unique gear for the Aspects you can harvest, but you’ll rarely need to squeeze every angstrom of power until the late game. After blasting through the campaign, you’ll have harder endgame content to play and PVP. Both require maximized builds and perfected gear. You’ll want to save Fiend Roses for then.

What Are Fiend Roses Used For?

Fiend Roses are rare items with several specific uses. They’re incredibly important for enchanting — but they have other uses.

  • Fiend Roses are used at the Occultist to Enchant Legendary Items.
  • Also required to unlock Major Healing Potion and Superior Healing Potion at the Alchemist.
  • The crafting of specific Incense also requires Fiend Roses. Incense is a temporary 20-minute buff that increase stats for all allies nearby.

There may be more uses for Fiend Roses, but you’ll have to discover those for yourself. They’re mostly used for enchanting, and they’re incredibly rare drops. If you want to find them, you need to complete a specific activity.

How To Find Fiend Roses

Fiend Roses only drop during Helltide World Events. These limited-time events happen at specific intervals, causing an area to be invaded by demons. By joining with other players, you’ll be able to fight back the Helltide and collect lots of loot.

  • Helltides are an Endgame Activity. These events only appear on World Tier 3 — only after completing the story campaign and finishing the Level 50 Capstone Dungeon.
  • See when a Helltide will appear with this website.
  • During a Helltide event, look for small trees with red bulbs. These are resource nodes that will always drop Fiend Roses.

Fiend Roses will only drop from Helltide Events — so complete them whenever you can. You’ll need to stock up on at least 10 / 20 Fiend Roses just to fully upgrade your potion at the highest levels. Save a few, and you may even want to customize your best gear with enchantments in the endgame too.

Helltides are just one of many endgame-exclusive events. But, Helltides are the only way to acquire Fiend Roses. Helltides are long — so they’re not ideal for grinding for gear. If you want to focus on endgame content, you’ll want to aim for Tree of Whispers events and eventually Nightmare Dungeons to get major loot. Helltides are great for the rare materials but not ideal for anything else. Think of them as a gateway to better content.
