Early in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you’ll unlock the Blacksmith. This important service allows you to sell unwanted weapons and Fuse weapons together to make them stronger. Every weapon starts at Fuse Lvl. 1 and can be upgraded up to Fuse Lvl. 20. There’s a reason you want to reach those high levels — you’ll unlock powerful hidden seals (special buffs) and every weapon has two hidden seals.
To get the best weapons, you’ll also want to make sure you’re fusing Tier 2, or Tier 3 weaponry. The easiest way to tell if a weapon is higher tier is just to visually compare the icons — Tier 2 / Tier 3 weapons look fancier, with extra additions. Why upgrade higher tiers? Because when they level up, you’ll earn x1.5 / x2 damage bonus.
There’s a trick to leveling up weapons much faster, and it involves the rare Fusion Material EXP seal. Weapons with this seal can be exploited to earn way, way more XP than normal. Here’s how it works.

How To Increase Weapon Fuse Level Fast | Fusion Material EXP Guide
As you progress, complete missions, and earn rewards you’ll eventually earn a pretty big collection of weapons. Some of these weapons will have the Fusion Material EXP seal. This seal causes you to earn +150% Fusion EXP when fusing at the Blacksmith.
There are two tricks you can use to rapidly earn more Fusion EXP with each Fuse.
#1: Make A Weapon With Fusion Material EXP Your Primary Weapon
If you have a weapon with the Fusion Material EXP seal, instead of wasting it you can make it into your primary weapon. That means you’re fusing low tier weapons into your weapon with Fusion Material EXP — you’ll still get the +150% EXP bonus for every fuse, and you won’t just get rid of the weapon.
#2: Upgrade The Fusion Material EXP Weapon, Then Fuse Two Together
If you have more than one Fusion Material EXP weapon, you can combine the two together for a huge bonus. Before you do, you can level up the second Fusion Material EXP weapon — fuse 10-20 weapons, earn +150% EXP, then fuse with your primary weapon (which also has the Fusion Material EXP seal) to earn a huge bonus.
The more you exploit those Fusion Material EXP weapons, the more you can level up your weapons quickly. By combining the power of two EXP+ seal weapons, you can basically squeeze 50% more EXP out of everything in your inventory. Don’t just let that +150% bonus go to waste!
