The Elder Scrolls VI
- Developer: Bethesda
- Publisher: Bethesda
- Platforms: TBA
- Release: TBA
After years of dealing with releases of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Bethesda made the announcement at E3 2018 that the next iteration of the franchise is in development. The problem here is that we have practically no information at all about the game. Bethesda didn’t offer any details but instead stated that the next installment to The Elder Scrolls franchise will be a next-generation game and will release after their newest upcoming IP, Starfield. It’s likely that this game won’t release this coming year but crazier things have happened. Likewise, it’s highly unlikely the title will launch on current generation platforms, outside of PC, as Bethesda has spoken of both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI is a next-generation title.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was a massive world for players to freely explore. Dwelling within the world was cities, factions, dungeons, and a slew of different enemies. We’re likely going to see that world size increase full of more hidden areas to locate. Unfortunately, we’re still waiting to see just where the developers are focusing on with the next installment hits the market.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel
- Developer: Nintendo
- Publisher: Nintendo
- Platforms: NS
- Release: TBD
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a huge hit when it first released on the Nintendo Wii U and again on the Nintendo Switch console hybrid. This title offered an open world experience as players could venture off to anywhere they pleased from the start. The title leaves players in a big world as you can explore old ruins to a variety of landmarks. This title went on to be a big seller for the console and instantly became the most cherished title from the Zelda franchise for plenty of gamers around the world.
In a surprise announcement during Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct upload, we got the reveal of the upcoming sequel. Nothing was really confirmed or unveiled about the game as we’ve only received a small teaser. It looks as if something has awoken in the depths below Hyrule leaving another grand adventure for players to go through. With that said, being a direct sequel, it looks like we’ll still have the same game map to explore. Out of speculation, perhaps we’ll have new areas to venture into with this upcoming sequel, but for now, all we can do is wait and see just what Nintendo decides to unveil likely in the upcoming E3 Nintendo Direct upload in 2020.
Minecraft Dungeons
- Developer: Mojang
- Publisher: Xbox Game Studios
- Platforms: XBO, NS, PS4, PC
- Release: 2020
Minecraft is a massive worldwide phenomenon that released years ago and is still widely enjoyed today. The amount of exploration and creative freedom players have at their hands with the game has sparked some truly incredible creations. However, the development studio behind the game, Mojang, has a new experience for players to try out in 2020. The game is called Minecraft Dungeons and it rids away from the building and crafting. Instead, this is a dungeon crawler game where players can join together and venture into randomly-generated dungeons. Inside these dungeons, players can explore to find treasures but in the way of the loot there will be traps, puzzles, and monsters. Unlike some of the other traditional dungeon crawler style games, there is no class-based system which means anyone can play however they please on-the-go.
