Evolution in Pokemon Sun and Moon often involves Evolution Stones, and usually it isn’t so easy to find these rare commodities in the Alola Region. The beaches are a great place to hang out with Pokemon, but no matter what level their happiness reaches, there’s no way to evolve without specific Evolution Stones.

There are Evolution Stones for each type of Pokemon, and while not every Pokemon requires a specific stone to evolve, many do — so many, it’s probably best to just collect every single stone available. Because Evolution Stones are so tough to find, we’ve cobbled together a list of locations to help you track them all down.

Most Stones are hidden in or around the environments of Alola. Some stones are free, and others can be purchased — whatever the requirement, we’ll provide all the details you need in the entries below to get them all.

Dawn Stone
- Evolutions:
  - Kirlia -> Gallade
  - Snorunt -> Froslass
- Location: Melemele Island, Hau’oli City
  - Poke Pelago: Can be found as a random drop on Isle Aphun.

Deep Sea Scale
- Evolutions:
  - Clamperl -> Gorebyss [Traded]
- Location: Sold at the Battle Tree Shop.
  - Random Drop: Wild Chinchou, Wild Relicanth

Deep Sea Tooth
- Evolutions:
  - Clamperl -> Huntail [Traded]
- Location: Sold at the Battle Tree Shop.
  - Random Drop: Wild Shapedo

Dragon Scale
- Evolutions:
  - Seadra -> Kingdra [Traded]
- Location: Sold at the Battle Tree Shop.
  - Random Drop: Wild Dragonite, Wild Dratini, Wild Dragonair

Dubious Disc
- Evolutions:
  - Porygon2 -> Porygon-Z [Traded]
- Location: Found in Aether Paradise or Sold at the Battle Tree Shop.

Dusk Stone
- Evolutions:
  - Murkrow -> Honchkrow
  - Misdreavus -> Mismagius
  - Lampent -> Chandelure
  - Doublade -> Aegislash
- Location: Ula’ula Island, Malie Community Center – Sold at the Flea Market.
  - Poni Island, Poni Wilds – Can also be found underwater.
  - Poke Pelago: Can be found as a random drop on Isle Aphun.

Electrizer
- Evolutions:
  - Electrabuzz -> Electivire [Traded]
- Location: Poni Island, Seafolk Village – Given by an NPC inside the Huntail Boat.
  - Sold at the Battle Tree Shop
  - Random Drop: Wild Electrabuzz, Wild Elekid

Everstone
- Evolutions:
  - NONE – Prevents evolutions.
- Location: Hau’oli City, Ilima’s House -Battle Ilima again in his house to gain this stone.

Eviolite
- Location: Akala Island, KoniKoni City – Found next to the Pikachu.

Fire Stone
- Evolutions:
  - Vulpix -> Ninetails
  - Growlithe -> Arcanine
  - Eevee -> Flareon
  - Pansear -> Simisear
- Location: Akala Island, Diglett Tunnel – Hidden in the tunnel.
  - Akala Island, Konikoni City – Can be purchased at Olivia’s Shop.
  - Poke Pelago: Can be found as a random drop on Isle Aphun.

Ice Stone
- Location: Ula’ula Island, Po Town – Check the northwest corner to find this hidden stone.
  - Poke Pelago: Can be found as a random drop on Isle Aphun.

King’s Rock
- Evolutions:
  - Poliwhirl -> Politoed [Traded]
  - Slowpoke -> Slowking [Traded]
- Location: Melemele Island, Route 1 – Can be found hidden on the first route.
  - Random Drop: Wild Hariyama, Wild Poliwrath, Wild Politoed, Wild Poliwhirl, Wild Slowbro
  - Sold at the Battle Tree shop.

Leaf Stone
- Evolutions:
  - Gloom -> Vileplume
  - Weepinbell -> Victreebel
  - Exeggcute -> Exeguttor
  - Nuzleaf -> Shiftry
  - Pansage -> Simisage
- Location: Akala Island, Konikoni City – Can be purchased at Olivia’s Shop.
