Fortnitemares is back for 2023 and the Halloween celebrations have already begun. The island has been decorated to fit with the theme, there’s a brand new boss to hunt down, a mix of fresh and returning weapons, and much more. Horde Rush has re-joined the rotation with quests offering XP and cosmetics rewards. Below, you’ll find all the details on the Horde Rush quests and rewards you’ll earn for completing during Fortnitemares 2023.
You can find the Horde Rush mode in Fortnite’s “Discover” menu and under the “By Epic ” tab. If you aren’t familiar with Horde Rush, the aim of this limited-time game is to fight your way through waves of monsters, before you’re met with a final boss at the end.

Fortnitemares Horde Rush quests and rewards
Here are all the Horde Rush quests in Fortnite:
- Earn a x40 KO Streak (1) – 25,000 XP
- Deal melee damage to Cube Monster spawners (6,000) – 25,000 XP
- Upgrade weapons at an upgrade bench in Horde Rush (5) – 25,000 XP
- Assist in collecting score multipliers (5) – 25,000 XP
- Assist in opening chests in Horde Rush (75) – 25,000 XP
- Help defeat the Boss in the final stage of Horde Rush (1) – 25,000 XP
- Hit headshots on Cube Monsters from at least 15 meters away (100) – 25,000 XP
- Eliminate Cube Monsters using explosives (200) – 25,000 XP
- Accumulate team poins (1,000,000) – 25,000 XP
As you tick off quests from your list, you’ll work towards unlocking the following three cosmetics:
- Complete 1 Horde Rush Quest: The Murk Wrap
- Complete 4 Horde Rush Quests: Heart-o-Lantern Emoticon
- Complete 7 Horde Rush Quests: Batwing Bonespike Pickaxe
Fortnitemares ends on November 3, 2023, which is also when the Horde Rush game mode will be removed. There’s still plenty of time to complete the quests and grab all the rewards that are on offer. Plus, they aren’t too difficult, so they shouldn’t take up too much of your time.
