Destiny 2 players have found a way to earn a free random Exotic gun. The Exotic gun can literally be anything, but you can only do it once, so you’ll have to choose your character wisely before proceeding — the best part is, this totally works. It’s 100% confirmed, and if you’re lucky, you might get one of the best Exotics in the game.
This insanely useful method comes from r/RaidSecrets, shared by u/SecretAgentB. You’ll probably want to act fast, as this is very likely a glitch and isn’t intended — but I don’t really care either way. Getting a free random Exotic is too good of a deal to pass up, and getting it is surprisingly easy. There’s just one major caveat — it only works if you reached Rank 98 or higher during the Season of Undying. Get the full explanation below.

How To Get A Free Random Exotic | Season of Undying Glitch
To get a free Exotic Engram, you must have reached Rank 98 or higher in the Season of Undying, the previous season. Why? Because at Rank 98, players would earn an Exotic Engram. You can claim that Exotic Engram again using this simple glitch.
- Go to the Season of Undying [Previous Season] reward menu.
- Sign in to your Bungie Account.
- Scroll to #98 and click it a few times until it states ‘Claimed’.
You may have to disable AdBlock, scriptblockers, or other add-ons on your browser. If you’re having trouble, you can also claim this on your phone. Just make sure you’re signed up.
After claiming the reward, you may have to wait a few minutes before it will appear in your inventory. The Exotic Engram will automatically open and dump an Exotic into your inventory — if you have all the Exotics unlocked, you’ll get a piece of Exotic Armor instead.
Yes, you can even claim Exotics from the Season of Dawn this way. This method is still confirmed to work after maintenance this morning for some players, but you might want to act fast.
