Detective Pikachu is rather unique in comparison to past installments of the hit Pokemon franchise. Within this video game, players will partner up with a talking Pikachu and solve a variety of mysterious cases. The overall game focuses on short QTE and gathering information.
Throughout the levels, players will need to find clues and speak with the NPCs to solve cases. In a sense, the game is a point-and-click type adventure title for the Nintendo 3DS. With that said, are you having trouble with a case? Then check out our walkthrough down below!

Cappucci Island Area
- Progress to the right and you’ll meet Louise Mulligan who will point you to the pathway in order to reach Waal’s home. You can then speak with the man with the hat and mustache in order to learn more about Waal, Louise and his business.
- You can then meet Timbur who will also alert Tim and Pikachu more information regarding Waal.
- Progress further and you’ll run into a Ducklett and Milo Green in a cutscene.
- Afterwards you can continue on and speak with Milo who will continue to lead Tim.
Waal’s Home Area
- In the home you’ll witness Brad McMaster attempt to arrest Waal in a cutscene and you’ll start the investigating the fog situation.

- After head outside and progress to the broken bridge and speak with Pikachu who will make mention of the figure in the fog.
- Head back to the town and Milo will alert Tim of a secret path.
- Speak with the man in the hat that handles the transportation about the secret path and you’ll learn about the festivals held by the lake.
- Now go back to the old man in the town who is sitting at the X house and ask about the scroll.
- Investigate the scroll that the old man hands to you then speak with Pikachu.
- Go to the broken monument and check it out for the “two scales” pieces which will lead you to the lake.
Secret Pathway Area
- Look at the scroll again and look at the various moon pictures along with the writings.
- Progress to the middle path and meet the Feebas.
- Look at the three statues then Pikachu will alert Tim to figure out the scroll riddle.
Bring up the scroll memo
- Color of Pokemon Statue
- Three colors
- Green > Blue > Pink
- Right Pathway
- You’ll then have a QTE with Pikachu and the Stunfisk as you progress the pathway.
- Now look at the three new statues then speak with Milo about the three Pokemon featured on the statues.
Go the scroll riddle memo
- Blue > White > Grey
- Blue pathway / Left pathway
- Now look at the three new statues and then speak with Milo again about the various Pokemon.
- Afterwards, go and speak with the Grotle.
