The ‘Curse of the Pharaohs‘ expansion includes one curious new enemy type — giant scorpions. Assassin’s Creed: Origins, despite the ancient setting, isn’t too mystical. Mostly, you’ll fight human opponents and worldly threats. Not so much in ‘Curse of the Pharaohs‘, where Bayek traverses the after-life, fighting animal-headed sentries and long-dead mummies. Then there are the scorpions.
For defeating certain giant scorpions (in certain hunting grounds), you’ll be able to unlock a pretty sweet set of armor. The Serqet Carapace Armor, or the black scorpion armor, is partially made with real, giant scorpion parts, giving you a dark, assassin-like edge. You’ll have to travel around the map and complete five hunting grounds, fighting extremely high-level scorpions. If you’re ready for a pretty big challenge, this is the armor you’ll get at the end.

Serqet Carapace Armor | Sting in the Tail Trophy Guide
To earn this unique piece of legendary armor you’ll need to travel to five locations, each with Serqet somewhere in the name. For completing the challenges, you’ll get the Serqet Carapace Armor.
In these quests, you’ll have to defeat boss scorpions. The scorpions are all level 58. To make this as painless as possible, just equip the most powerful predator bow you have and shoot the scorpions..
Using this strategy, you should be able to clear out these locations at a level much lower than the scorpion bosses. The Waset Desert location is different, as it’s just a bandit camp. Clearing it out counts toward completion in this case.
Giant Scorpion Den Locations:
- Duat – Halls of Serqet
- Heb Sed – Serqet’s Chamber
- Aaru – Serqet’s Altar
- Aten – Serquet’s Garden
- Waset Desert – Spring of Serqet
