Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – All Elixir Recipes | Cooking Guide

March 7, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Mix up elixirs like a pro with this quick guide explaining all the different types of effects, and what ingredients you’ll need.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild introduces a new generation of Zelda fans to the wonders of cooking. But, recipes aren’t just for making delicious delicacies — you can also create bottles of elixir for a quick stat boost with one of the eleven material categories. These potions don’t heal Link, instead providing lengthier buffs.

Learning exactly how to create every type of elixir will make Link’s life so much easier in the surprisingly deadly world of Breath of the Wild. Don’t have enough stamina to climb one of the all-important regional towers? Drink an enduring elixir, or a hasty elixir, and easy surmount the challenge. There are eleven different types of elixirs, and you’ll need to hunt for animal ingredients to cook each type up.

All Elixir Recipes | Cooking Guide

Elixirs, like any food recipe, are created in a cooking pot by mixing monster parts (guts, eyes, fangs, etc) with other materials. Usually elixirs only required two ingredients, and if you mix further ingredients with special effects (hasty, enduring, hearty, tough, etc) the effect will increase.

Elixirs are the best way to increase your stats temporarily. They won’t heal you, but they’re absolutely required if you need a shot of stamina, want to increase your endurance, or if you need any of the other beneficial effects elixirs can provide.
