Take The Uninhabited Floating City Walkthrough In Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon
Mission 36: Take the Uninhabited Floating City is very similar to another mission that saw you assisting “Cinder” Carla, Mission 20: Heavy Mission Launch Support. Just like that level, you will be tasked with defending a target against waves of enemies for a given amount of time. Your weapons of choice aren’t too important when it comes to building your AC but I would suggest that you bring in a lighter build to make sure you can get between the different groups of enemies quickly and that your objective is overwhelmed and eventually destroyed. While not a necessity, Reverse Joint Legs could be a great asset as you dash around Xylem.
At the start of the mission, head over to the Xylem Control Tower. Once you are here, the health of the tower and its shield will appear. After a brief moment of dialogue, a 5-minute timer will appear and enemy MTs will arrive. These MTs will come from the 3 highways leading to the Control Tower with some traveling on the ground and others being carried by Transport Helicopters.
You will also have a few turrets that you can interact with at the far left and right of the area just in front of the Xylem Control Tower. These can be very useful but have limited ammo so make sure you use them wisely, You can activate them by walking up to the blue markers and interacting with them.
The first few waves of the battle are simple MTs that won’t give you too much of an issue outside of just trying to quickly get between the different groups. At around the 3-minute mark, PCA LC snipers will arrive. These enemies will take long-distance shots at the tower with their plasma rifles. At around the 1-minute 30-second mark, a group of suicide drones will fly into the tower and the final wave will commence. This group is made up of a lot of MTs as well as a well-built PCA HC class mech with several Rocket Launchers that can do massive damage to the tower. While there are a lot of enemies here, I suggest focusing on the powerful HC to ensure that the enemy that can do the most damage is dealt with early and then clean up the rest of the MTs.
When the timer hits zero, the Floating City of Xylem will activate and reveal its true nature: A flying fortress with the goal of destroying the Coral.
Once Xylem takes to the sky, Mission 36: Take the Uninhabited Floating City will be complete!
