There are a lot of neat secrets hidden across the vast and lush islands in Tchia. When found, a lot of the secrets give players access to new cosmetics that can be equipped at campfires. While the cosmetics don’t do anything that directly impacts gameplay, they allow players to express themselves through Tchia’s outfit as well as what her boat looks like. Additionally, the outfits often give players a little bit of perspective and a look into the New Caledonian culture that influences every aspect of the game.
Not all cosmetics showcase traditional garb, however, some are just for fun. One such outfit is the crab costume that Tchia can wear. It’s a giant red crab outfit that looks pretty silly. When worn, NPCs will make comments about Tchia’s style and players will unlock the “Snip Snip” trophy. The only problem is that, given how many cosmetics are featured in Tchia, locating the crab costume can be like finding a needle in a haystack.
If you’re struggling to find the location of the crab outfit, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know about finding the crab costume in Tchia.

“Snip Snip” Trophy Guide
Getting the “Snip Snip” trophy is relatively easy and can be completed at any time in Tchia as long as the player has full access to the game’s world. While the “Arrr!” trophy requires players to get two cosmetic items in order to unlock, “Snip Snip” only tasks the player with hunting down one costume set.
To find the crab outfit, head to Tingeting, the town that’s on the northeastern coast of the north island Ija Noj. On the west side of town, players will find a claw machine as well as a handful of cosmetics boxes. The one on the far left has the crab costume inside, but take note, it’s pretty pricy. To purchase it, you’ll need ten pearls and 15 woven trinkets.
With the proper funds in-hand, buy the outfit and it’ll be put in your inventory. To unlock the trophy, simply owning the costume isn’t enough, you’ll need to wear it. Head to a campfire (there’s one nearby to the southwest) and then equip the crab costume, the crab hat, and the crab backpack. Once you’ve got it all on, the trophy should pop.
