Hitman 3: 10 Tips To Become A True Silent Assassin | Beginner’s Guide

January 20, 2021 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Master the art of assassination with these 10 tips for new Hitman 3 players.

Rat Poison Is Your Best Friend

Rat Poison is one of the most common items you’ll find around the corners of a level. Search in back areas, basements, maintenance areas or stock rooms — you’re bound to find a box of rat poison on the ground, or on a shelf. This useful item can be used to poison food and make people sick. You can even plant rat poison into ventilation machines to spread the sick to everyone.

And why do you want to make people sick? Because sick people go to the bathroom! They’ll vomit in privacy, totally pulling them away from their routes — especially useful for dealing with patrolling guards attached to VIP targets. Always watch what people eat. It might be a good opportunity for a little rat poisoning.

And There Are Many, Many More Tools To Look For

Rat Poison isn’t the only handy tool just laying around the level. Almost every Hitman level has these common items.

  • Wrench
  • Screwdriver
  • Hammer
  • Crowbar
  • Scissors

These tools aren’t just good for knocking people out or throwing as a distraction. They’re the most common objects needed to sabotage sprinklers, crank valves, or bust open locked doors. Other items like Shovels can’t be easily carried around, but they’re just as useful for digging up treasures.

Always make note of tool locations and grab them ASAP. You might just need them later.
