From now until August 19th, you and your friends will be able to send even more gifts than ever before in Pokémon GO. You’ll be able to stock up on a total of 20 gifts — and you’ll be able to send up to 30 gifts daily. That’s a whole lot of gifts, so don’t forget to check out Pokestops and stock up.
There’s a reason your gift-giving potential has been upgraded. There are various benefits for giving gifts — and receiving gifts, too! Any eggs received as a gift only require 2km to hatch. You might think that these 2km Eggs aren’t that valuable, but they’re secretly 7km eggs. All eggs received give 7km rewards from a hatch, and they’ll retain that bonus even after the event is over. Any eggs you receive until August 19th will be much easier to hatch than normal, and give great rewards.
Even better, you can earn a rare Shiny Bonsyl from these special eggs. You’ll have to be extremely lucky, Shiny Pokémon are some of the rarest to earn in Pokémon GO. There have been plenty of Shiny Pokémon invading Pokémon GO, and this might be your only chance to get a Bonsyl — the Shiny Bonsyl has pink / purple leaves on its head instead of normal green. You’ll spot her a mile away.
