Monster Hunter: World – How To Get The Last Rare Bird | Snuggles For All Guide

February 1, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

There’s another rare bird in Monster Hunter: World. This one isn’t so spiny, but it’s very worthwhile if you’re looking for quick research points.

The fluffy birds like to rest on these small monsters.

Because one rare bird isn’t enough, Monster Hunter: World has two. The second rare bird is slightly easier to find, and it’s a whole lot softer than its prickly brethren. Finding the fuzzy bird will earn you the ‘Snuggles For All’ achievement / trophy, and drop a huge stack of research points in your coffers for a relatively simple capture.

Like other rare creatures, this rare bird is a small animal you can snatch with your wrist-mounted net-launcher. This is the last of the tiny rare critters you’ll find the various monster-filled locales, and this guy is the most cuddly. I recommend putting him in your private quarters for maximum snuggling potential.

How To Get The Last Rare Bird | Snuggles For All Guide

The ‘Snuggles For All‘ snuggly bird is actually found in the first zone — the Ancient Forest. Like the prickly counterpart that’ll earn you the ‘Bristles For All‘ achievement / trophy, this bird is extremely shy and will run away when you get close.

  • NOTE: To easily sneak up on these rare birds that run away easily, equip and use the Ghillie Mantle. You’ll automatically unlock it while progressing through the main story assignments.

To find the snuggly birds, spawn into the first camp in the Ancient Forest and explore Area 1. Check the dinosaur-like, spike-tailed small monsters that roam the beach. Very rarely, a group of white, fluffy birds will be sitting on the backs of the dinos.

After checking Area 1, go to the Wildspire Wastes and check the same creatures around the first area, outside the first camp. Continue to swap between the two locations — every time you switch, the map will reset. Make sure to use the Ghillie Mantle before checking the dinos, or you might lose the snuggly, fluffy birds!

Eventually, you’ll find a whole big group of these fluffy white birds hanging out on the back of a small monster near a camp. They’ll spawn in if you keep trying! Equip the net launcher and capture one while you’re still in stealth. The ‘Snuggles For All’ achievement / trophy will pop, you’ll earn 200 research points per bird caught, and you’ll gain a friend for your private quarters.
