Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Won’t Have Season Pass Included In Physical Edition Releases

January 13, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Looks like you’re going to pay for the Season Pass separately.

There are never any shortages of Dragon Ball Z video game titles. It seems like every year there is some type of video game in relation to the franchise. After all, it makes sense as the franchise is massively popular worldwide and continues to see new fans regularly discovering the anime series for the first time. With that said, there are plenty of fans eagerly awaiting for the next major release to hit the marketplace this month.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the next installment that is coming out on January 19, 2020. It’s a game that will still feature all of the intense battles that you’d expect from a video game in the franchise. However, it also includes an RPG progression system with the ability to freely explore the world. In this game, players will relive some of the major storyline events from the series, along with new side quests and receive answers to some of the questions fans have had for the franchise lore.

With so many people eagerly awaiting to get their hands on a copy of the game, one thing they won’t find in their physical edition releases will be a code for the Season Pass. So far, there is a new story arc along with two-story episodes coming out post-launch. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there is really anything physical that comes with the Season Pass which could be quite the disappointment for fans.

Even the Collector’s Edition of the game won’t include the Season Pass, though if we were to speculate, perhaps there are more plans for post-launch content that may make the Season Pass purchase a bit more desirable. For now, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be releasing on January 19, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
