Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth – How To Get $10,000 | Chapter 9 Guide

January 23, 2024 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Scrounge up enough cash to progress in Chapter 9.

In Chapter 9 of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the Tattoo Parlor lady will demand $10,000 USD before she gives you any information you need about your missing person. That’s a lot of cash, but it isn’t impossible. Returning to Hawaii in Chapter 9, the enemies are much tougher and cash is easier to come by. There are multiple ways to earn the money you need, but there are a few ways that are extremely easy.

You can grind enemies in high level areas for $500 each, or you can play through side-quests to earn everything you need. Here’s a quick rundown of methods to collect the money and make this section easier. You can grind enemies or complete the time-consuming by extremely worthwhile Dondoko Island side-quest. Seriously, if you complete the side-quest, you’ll have more money than you’ll know what to do with.

How To Get $10,000 | Chapter 9 Guide

During Chapter 9, Ichiban and friends will have to battle an army of criminal goons to reach Twilight Drive. Night Street is where the gangster Yamai calls his turf, and travelling there initiates another big boss fight against him. After beating him up, you’ll be stuck yet again. Until the old lady at the Volcano Tattoo store offers to sell you information. To complete the trade, you’ll need to give you $10,000 USD. That’s a huge sum, so if you’re low on cash, here are a few methods to make all that money fast.

  • Method #1: Grind Enemies
  • Enemies in the Night Street area are about Level 32. Defeating them will get you about $500 per fight. Get into 20~ fights and you’ll raise the money you need. This is a slow process but not too difficult.
  • Higher level enemies like those near the Hawaii Haunt will now drop $1,000 USD or more when defeating a standard group.

Grinding enemies takes a lot of time, but there’s an even more lucrative method for earning lots of cash.

  • Method #2: Complete Dondoko Island
  • If you haven’t been completing Dondoko Island, you’ll want to return there now. Go to the Dolphin on the east side of Aloha Beach and return to this huge task. Complete the very first step (unlock a 1-Star Resort) to earn $10,000 USD.
  • For each star you earn, you’ll earn more big rewards. A 2-Star Resort gets you $30,000, 3-Star gets you $50,000, 4-Star gets you $100,000 and the 5-Star gets you $300,000. Complete all those and you’ll be swimming in cash.

Dondoko Island can also be used to earn infinite cash. With a 5-Star Resort, you can invite S-Rank guests to step and earn money after completing their 3-day visit. You can also convert Dokobucks to cash — the conversion rate is the same as Yen. So 1,000,000 Dokobucks is the equivalent of $10,000 USD. And that’s really easy to earn once you’ve got a max level resort.

After paying up to the old lady, she’ll eventually give your money back. You’ll get it back after travelling to the Anaconda Harbor dock. Enjoy your cash back and spend it on something nice — like an expensive new weapon.
