Diablo 4: How To Level Up Alts Fast | Best NG+ EXP Farming

July 11, 2023 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Get to Level 50 fast with these solo or cooperative methods.

  • Leveling Up Faster Solo | 4-5~ Hours To Lvl. 50
  • Leveling Up Faster Coop | 1-2~ Hours To Lvl. 50

Season 1 is coming soon, and because everyone needs to make a totally new character, you might want to know how to level up fast in Diablo 4. The Seasonal Model for unlocking new loot requires starting a new character on a new limited-time server. You’ll have to start from scratch, and after you’ve finished the campaign once, going from Level 1 to Level 50 can be a huge drag. Unless you have friends that are already high level, gaining levels is going to be a drag.

After discussing with players, we’ve basically reached a very simple consensus — the best way to earn EXP in Diablo 4 if you’re solo is to complete the campaign again. As annoying as that sounds, running through the campaign and skipping dialogue / cutscenes will get you to Level 50 much faster than grinding dungeons. The only way to actually earn lots of EXP is through Nightmare Dungeons, which you’ll really need friends to help you complete. If you have friends, you can cut your grinding time down by half. Learn more about reaching Level 50 with the full guide below.

Leveling Up Faster Solo | 4-5~ Hours To Lvl. 50

When playing solo, you’ll have two options when leveling up. You can repeat the campaign or clear dungeons. You can also run Nightmare Dungeons with a lot of preparation.

  • How To Run Nightmare Dungeons With An Alt: Nightmare Sigils can be stored in your inventory like items. Place a Tier 3 Nightmare Dungeon in your inventory, and use it with an alt. This will unlock the ability to craft Nightmare Sigils at any Occultist.

This requires a lot of preparation. You can either stock up on Nightmare Sigil materials by dismantling extras, stock up on lots of Sigils and share with your alt, or just play with friends that already have Nightmare Dungeons unlocked.

Doing that takes a lot of time and effort and isn’t really worth the result. Unlocking Tier 3 Dungeons early is useful for late-game farming, but for most players, the easiest way to reach Level 50 is to replay the campaign.

  • How To Level Up Fast Solo: The campaign story takes about 4-5 hours to complete solo when replaying on WT2. Skip all cutscenes, teleport whenever you can to skip open-world exploration.

Use any effective build and you’ll blaze through the main campaign. Even if you don’t want to use a particular PVE build, use it just to level up through the campaign and reach Level 50.

Leveling Up Faster Coop | 1-2~ Hours To Lvl. 50

To level up ridiculously quickly, you’ll need to team up with friends. If friends are willing to carry you, you’ll be able to farm and level up to 50 in less than 2 hours.

  • How To Level Up Fast In Coop: With your Lvl 50-100 pal, clear both Capstone Dungeons — unlock World Tier 3 and World Tier 4.
  • At higher World Tiers, join Nightmare Dungeons with your ally. Clear Nightmare Dungeons at higher and higher tiers.
  • Nightmare Dungeons give the most EXP.

The more party members the better, but this can be done with a single high-level ally. Let them carry you and reaching Level 50+ doesn’t take long. Seriously, this can be done in about two hours. With a Level 80~ friend you’ll be leveled fast enough. With a Level 100~ friend, you’ll be there even faster.
