Apex Legends Mobile Phone Requirements

Looks like I won’t have to upgrade.

The idea of bringing Apex Legends to mobile devices was extremely exciting when first announced. Now that Apex Legends Mobile is here, more people than ever before are able to drop into the Apex Games due to the sheer number of smartphones “out in the wild.” While playing one of the most popular free-to-play battle royale shooters on the go is a dream come true for some, others have been hit with a major roadblock when it comes to playing the game: the phone system requirements.

Mobile gaming is similar to PC gaming in that knowing if a game is playable or not requires the player to know specific system details about their devices. If a smartphone (or PC) doesn’t meet the requirements, then the unfortunate reality is that the game won’t be playable. While Apex Mobile doesn’t require players to have the absolute best, top-of-the-line devices, it can’t exactly run on every device since the iPhone 1.

Apex Legends Mobile iOS Requirements

The requirements for running Apex Legends Mobile on iOS devices are as follows (per the EA website):

  • iPhone 6S or later
  • OS version: 11.0 or later
  • CPU: A9
  • At least 2GB RAM
  • At least 4GB of storage space

Essentially, the game can run on any iPhone released after the 6S which is pretty impressive considering how much there is to Apex Mobile. That said, the 6S and other older devices might see a dip in performance and graphics quality when compared to newer iPhones with more processing power.

Apex Legends Mobile Android Requirements

The requirements for running Apex Legends Mobile on Android devices are as follows (per the EA website):

  • Android 6.0 or later
  • CPU: Snapdragon 435, Hisilicon Kirin 650, Mediatek Helio P20, or Exynos 7420
  • At least 3GB RAM
  • At least 4GB of storage space
  • Must be a 64-bit system
  • Screen sizes: N/L/XL

Similar to Apple devices, Apex Mobile is able to run on a good amount of phones running on Android OS as well. Most Android devices will be running on updates far past Android 6.0, so the game is available to a wide range of users. EA makes sure to note as well that the game may run without issue on devices with only 2GB of RAM on phones by Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, Motorola, Samsung, Lenovo, or Xiaomi.
