The Division 2: 12 Features The Game Doesn’t Explain | Beginner’s Guide

March 14, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

There’s a whole lot that The Division 2 doesn’t really explain; hidden loot, extra XP, bolt-action rifles, extra cosmetics and more.

11: Transform The Sniper Rifle Into A Bolt-Action Rifle

Some weapons come equipped with mods by default. As you progress, you’ll unlock mods that can be equipped to every weapon, but you might not realize the utility of some weapons when the mods are removed. For example, press [Square / X] in the inventory menu to select mods, and then remove the Sniper Scope from any Sniper Rifle.

What was once only useful at long range can now be used at medium range. Think of it like an extremely powerful single-shot / bolt-action rifle, and you can still take down snipers with careful aim thanks to the gun’s extreme accuracy.

12: Level Up Faster With SHD Perks

Once you start completing SHD missions, you’ll unlock stacks of SHD perks you can use at your base. One of the handiest perks available are all related to XP — and they only cost 1 SHD point per perk unlock. You can unlock all the XP perks very early in the game. You’ll get bonuses for headshots, weak point kills, and multi-kills. The earlier you grab these perks, the more XP you’ll earn in the long term.

You can only access the final mission when you’re max level. These perks will speed up the process, even if it’s only a little bit. But, it’s also important to know that these perks are completely optional. You don’t have to unlock them unless you want to earn a little more XP.

That’s all the tips we’ve got so far! Check back soon for more Division 2 guides, tips and tricks on Gameranx.
