The Division 2: 12 Features The Game Doesn’t Explain | Beginner’s Guide

March 14, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

There’s a whole lot that The Division 2 doesn’t really explain; hidden loot, extra XP, bolt-action rifles, extra cosmetics and more.

9: You Can Disable Backup Notifications — Or Call For Backup From The Map

Sick of getting backup calls? If you’re a solo player aiming to simply complete the main story, you can disable backup notifications. Open the Map, tab over to the SHD menu, and turn off the ‘On Call’ option. If you want to help other players later, you can always toggle the ‘On Call’ button back.

You can also summon help at any time from the map. Even if you’re not completing a mission, you can call for backup. Open the map screen, and hold [Triangle / Y] to ping nearby players for help. Pretty useful when you’re trying to take down tricky enemy checkpoints.

10: The Dodge Roll Is A Great Way To Escape RC Cars / Seekers

Here’s something that took a shameful amount of time for me to realize. Double-tap the cover button to perform a quick dodge roll. This maneuver is incredibly handy if you’re getting shoot from multiple angles, or if you’re looking to exit cover quickly. If you’re afraid of incoming RC Cars summoned by Hyenas, or need to escape an incoming grenade, the dodge roll is life-saving.
