When you first face against Dr. Cid, you’ll need to defeat the four Rooks before attacking the main boss. These Rooks shouldn’t be much of a problem so use normal attacks to defeat them before you focus on Dr. Cid.
After the Rooks are defeated you may start attacking Dr. Cid, though make sure to keep an eye out for the S-27 Tokamak attack, which you can avoid by standing behind the boss. This boss fight will last only until Dr. Cid’s HP drops to 70%.
During the second battle, Dr. Cid will be using Famfrit to use against the fight instead of Rooks. The exact same strategy applies to this second battle. Defeat the Famfrit before moving on to Dr. Cid. Instead of the S-27 Tokamak attack, you’ll need to avoid the S-85 Cyclotron attack by again, standing behind the boss before he launches the attack at you.
