At the start of this boss battle, players should cast Dispel on Daedalus in order to remove his Haste status. From there, having a member of your party with Berserk will come in handy towards end game as low health will allow the use of chain Quickenings.
A side note to this boss battle is that Daedalus is one of the few bosses in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac age that carries Damascus Steel. Take the opportunity to pick this rare material up by using Thief’s Cuffs to steal.
Once you own the material, players are able to make Gemsteel which can later be used to craft the sword Tournesol.
