There are two stages to this battle. The first time you face against Gabranth you’ll find that he will focus on Basch, if he is in your party. It’s best to keep an eye on Basch and help him out with Protect or Protectga for your party.
Luckily, the boss fight doesn’t bring in any strong attacks, though a combo attack is something you’ll need to be weary of. Gabranth will be immune to Magicks after he reaches 50% HP, so when this happens, you can focus on more buffs for your party and then attack with normal weapons.
When the second encounter happens, you should cast out a Dispel in order to get rid of Gabranth’s Protect and Haste. Keep up the same strategy as your first encounter with the boss though this time when he reaches 50% HP Gabranth will cast Renew or use an attack known as Innocence which can be powerful. Because of this, players should use Curaja on the party.
