Hashmal can be a tough battle unless you come prepared. Early on in the battle, you’ll want to use Float on your party so that they can avoid any Earth-type attacks, which will be one of the key attacks this boss will be using against you.
Outside of Float, you should cast Haste on the boss so that you are able to catch up with him quickly in the battle. Since you can avoid his Earth type attacks, you can win the battle relatively quick, but it’s still best to keep an eye on your party and apply remedies when needed.
