In order to reach the Fire Temple in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom you need to complete the Yunobo of Goron City main quest. As with the other dungeon quest lines in the game, you must first get Yunobo to join your party and use his ability to reach the next objective. This quest has multiple parts and here is how to complete each one of them.

Where to Find Yunobo In Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To start this quest, you are going to need to go to Goron City in Eldin. This is one of the four objective markers the Regional Phenomena quest will lead you towards. Before starting the quest and finding Yunobo make sure you are either equipped with one piece of heat-resistant armor or stocked up on heat-resistant foods.
Talk to the Goron elder in the city to be told that Yunobo is at Yunobo HQ, which will then be marked on your map. From here, the quickest way to navigate over there is by using the nearby mine carts and rails. Make yourself a cart and grind on over to discover Yunobo is stuck inside a hot cave.
The cave inquestion is being guarded by the Gorons Offrak and Slergo. Once they know you are there to save Yunobo from trouble, you will be let in. Now all you have to do is fight him. Yup, you heard me!
How to Beat Clearly Not Himself Yunobo In Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
This short boss fight against a Yunobo who is clearly not acting like himself requires you to hit him three times in classic Nintendo fashion.
Yunobo will stun himself by rolling into walls. He will charge up a roll to attack you and if you successfully so dodge his rolls, he will become stunned. Use any weapon to get in a single hit to immediately deplete a third of Yunobo’s health. Do this three times to wake up Yunobo and gain his powers.

Climbing Death Mountain
Next, you will need to get to the top of Death Mountain with Yunobo. You will need to climb manually until you reach the Death Mountain railway Sites. This area is about halfway up the mountain and has a railway you can take in a circle to navigate the whole space.
You are going to want to get a cart with a fan over to Death Mountain West Site, where you can transfer to the railway that leads up the mountain. From here all you need to do is cart to the top. On the way up you will need to use Yunobo’s charge ability to clear some boulders that are blocking your path. Make sure to also take out Moblins and Bokoblins that try to get in your way.
You’ll reach a barricade where you have to take out a Bokoblin camp. There is another rail here you can move your cart to to climb even further up Death Mountain. Once you’ve gone as high as you can go you will be challenged with the boss of the mountain, Moragia.
Moragia Boss Fight In Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
This mini boss requires using a flying Wing contraption to dodge its attacks, while using Yunobo to expose its appendages. All you need to do to take Moragia down is hit each of these points once with Yunobo’s attack and, much like the earlier mini-boss, it will fall in no time.
Now it’s time to dive on into Death Mountain.

Getting Through Death Mountain Chasm
Diving into Death Mountain Chasm will lead you to the Depths and the final run-up to the Fire Temple. Down here, you will need Fire Resistance since it’s hot hot heat.
Once you land, run over to the Mustis Lightroot (2375, 2591, -0944) and light it. Here, you will see Yunobo. Talk to him to get a new quest marker that you need to aim for in the Depths.
Using Lightblooms to light up your path and Yunobo’s ability to destroy any boulders in your way, make a b-line for the objective marker. Continue, fighting or avoiding enemies, until you reach the Misisi Lightroot.
From here you can see a broken bridge over to a large building. That’s the dungeon, but in order to cross the lava lake you will need a hydrant. Either drop one from your inventory or explore the nearby pool (but be careful of enemies) in order to create platforms that will allow you to cross. Now, you have made it to the Fire Temple, where you will complete Yunobo of Goron City.
