Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Akkala Walkthrough

February 22, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Conquer the Akkala Region with Gameranx’s complete solution guides for all the shrines in the northeastern territory of Hyrule.

Table of Contents – Akkala Shrines

  • Ritaag Zumo Shrine
  • Katosa Aug Shrine
  • Dah Hesho Shrine
  • Zuna Kai Shrine
  • Tu Ka’loh Shrine
  • Ke’nai Shakah Shrine
  • Ze Kasho Shrine
  • Tutsuwa Nima Shrine

Ke’nai Shakah Shrine – A Modest Test of Strength

Find this hidden shrine in a cavern at Ulria Grotto. This prime mining spot features a hidden weak wall that, if properly bombed, reveals a tough-to-spot shrine. Link will need to purchase a bomb arrow or two to crack open this shrine.

At this point, you should be familiar with the Guardian Scouts. This isn’t a particularly weak Guardian, or a particularly strong one. Bring weapons with about 30-40 attack power, and armor that adds up to 12+ defense for a good shot at bringing this simple scout down.

Ancient Arrows will make short work of this enemy. One shot to the eye is all you need. To make things even easier, come equipped with Daruk’s Protection (Vah Rudania) or Urbosa’s Rage (Vah Naboris) to bring this opponent down. Ice element weapons make things easier too — shattering frozen enemies dishes out triple damage.

When the Scout Guardian switches to the giant axe, it’s time to avoid attacks. The light sword isn’t too powerful, but the axe can kill a weak Link in one attack.

Wait for the Scout Guardian to spin-charge. Hide behind a pillar until the creature crashes, stunning it temporarily. When it unleashes a laser-spin attack, use the updraft to glide and jump-attack. At low health, it will attempt to use a super-charged laser beam. Switch to a powerful weapon and attack to finish it off.

When the Guardian is defeated, the exit door will open. Grab the chest and use the altar to complete this shrine.
