Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Akkala Walkthrough

February 22, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Conquer the Akkala Region with Gameranx’s complete solution guides for all the shrines in the northeastern territory of Hyrule.

Table of Contents – Akkala Shrines

  • Zuna Kai Shrine
  • Tu Ka’loh Shrine
  • Ke’nai Shakah Shrine
  • Ze Kasho Shrine
  • Tutsuwa Nima Shrine

Ze Kasho Shrine – Ze Kasho Apparatus

Find this shrine just outside the South Akkala Stable. You can’t miss it on the hill.

Like the other “apparatus” shrines, this is all about using the strange ancient device to manipulate a piece of the environment. To do that, you’ll need to use the WiiU / Switch motion controls. That’s the tricky part, and it can take some getting used to.

To get though the first apparatus puzzle, tilt to move the spiked plates and form a path across the platform. In the second room, you’ll find a glowing orange switch. Hit it to cause large chunks of the geometry to spin, blocking the lasers and allowing Link to pass temporarily.

It doesn’t last long. Place a remote bomb on the switch. Hit the switch with a regular sword, run to the center, then detonate the bomb or use an arrow to cross the last patch of laser-protected land.

Optional Chest: Located in the second room, near the exit to that puzzle. Shoot the switch near the entrance with an arrow and drop onto the revolving piece of geometry to  reach a high enough point. Not Link can paraglide to the chest.

The final puzzle — all you have to do is get the three orbs to slide into the glowing switches. To do this, tilt so the orbs roughly line-up with the switches. One orb in the center, one on the left, and one on the right. Use the black squares to help separate the orbs.

Once you solve that puzzle, the altar exit gate will open.
