Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Akkala Walkthrough

February 22, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

  • Tutsuwa Nima Shrine

Tutsuwa Nima Shrine – A Major Test of Strength

To unlock this shrine, go to the Spring of Power in the Akkala Region. It’s found in a sunken area south of North Akkala Valley, but north of Ordorac Quarry. Travel west from East Akkala Stable and you can’t miss the spring.

Pray at the statue of the spring to begin her shrine quest, “The Spring of Power” — to complete it, you’ll need a dragon’s scale. The massive fire dragon that circles the Eldin Mountain / Northern Akkala Region is what you’ll need to hunt. For a titanic beast, you’ll only need to hit the creature once to get its scale.

NOTE: Dinraal will appear near the Eldin Great Skeleton. Wait on a high cliff to get a shot at him. The dragon is so slow, it can take a full two days to complete a rotation around Eldin. All you need is one single arrow hit and the scale will appear.

To begin “The Shrine of Power” and star hunting for Dinraal’s Scale, look north of Death Mountain. There’s a small hotspring in the northernmost coast of the Eldin Region, far west of Skull Lake in Akkala. There’s a shrine called “Gorae Torr” shrine. From here, travel west to the Eldin Great Skeleton. The Dragon of Power flies surprisingly close there.

At least, close enough to land a proper hit. Wait around on the Eldin Great Skeleton skull until the fire dragon appears — find the skeleton east from the East Deplian Badlands. You can also climb up onto the cliffs to the south of the Eldin Great Skeleton for a good view of Dinraal.

Once Link shoots Dinraal with an arrow, collect the scale and drop it into the water at the Spring of Power. The Shrine will appear — and it is a tough one.

There’s a Guardian Scout Mk. 4 inside, and no cover to hide from energy blasts or spin-attacks. Use Cryonis to create ice pillars to stun the scout when it spin-charges. Otherwise, this is just like any other Guardian… only a lot more powerful.

When the Guardian is defeated, collect your treasure and use the altar to complete all the shrines in the Akkala Region.
