Now that we’re so close to release, the complete list of achievements / trophies has been revealed, with insights into “challenges”, “Field Manuals”, and “Codexes” — then there’s the usual round of multiplayer tasks you’ll need to complete, although there’s nothing a normal player won’t strive to unlock. Complete Achievements / Trophies Guide
[COMPLETE]
Before continuing forward, there are spoilers ahead, so come back after you’ve completed the campaign if you don’t want to learn more about the war stories. The Battlefield games are mainly multiplayer affairs, although these achievements / trophies reveal more about the singleplayer side of things, including collectibles and challenges.
- How to Resolve Glitched Trophies: Make sure you’ve installed the latest patch if your Rank achievements / trophies have not unlocked. The achievements / trophies will unlock after entering a new multiplayer match.
Here you’ll find tips and tricks to complete every achievement / trophy. We recommend completing the campaign normally, replaying to pick-up any collectibles / challenges, then moving on to the multiplayer side of things to earn all the rank you need. All-in-all, this 100% doesn’t look too tricky. Let’s get started.
Campaign – Challenge Achievements / Trophies
- Mightier than the shovel
Find the hidden Cavalry Sword and take down an enemy on the French countryside in the campaign
This achievement / trophy can be earned in the singleplayer campaign “Through Mud and Blood” — the Cavalry Sword location is hidden. Follow the steps below to get your hand on this powerful melee weapon.
- Start Campaign 1: Through Mud and Blood and continue to the Breakdown section.
- Continue to the French village where you’ll need to collect parts for your broken tank. This is the village with the windmill on the hill overlooking the town.
- In the town, there’s a two-story structure with a mounted MG turret in the window, directly above a corner door. This is a building right on mainstreet, near the edge of town facing the windmill.
- Directly beneath the MG turret, you’ll find the Cavalry Sword under a table on the first floor.
Now that you have the Cavalry Sword, simply kill any enemy with a melee attack to unlock.
- Up close and personal
Perform a melee kill on 10 enemies anywhere in the campaign
During the “Hold at all costs!” objective in the first campaign — this can also be completed in conjunction with the “Mightier than the shovel” achievement / trophy. During any defense, especially when in thick fog or gas, you’ve got a good window to melee enemies instead of shooting them.
It also helps to lower the difficulty if you want to boost this challenge. A lower difficulty means you’ll take less damage, and makes charging AI much easier. Either way, you’ve very likely to unlock this just be playing the campaign normally.
- Shock Wave
Kill 5 enemies by using dynamite in the campaign
In Chapter 1 of the “Through Mud and Blood” campaign, hop out of your tank at the fortified intersection guarded by anti-tank guns in the ruined town — there’s a Weapon Tent right before reaching the first artillery battery. Charge directly for the dynamite crate and start chucking at the confused soldiers in the area. This will only work if you haven’t already killed all the defenders with your tank — just disable the cannons, and the regular soldiers won’t be able to scratch your Mark V tank.
The tricky part of this achievement is just getting dynamite — and staying alive long enough to blow up enemies with it. Like the melee trophy above, try lowering the campaign difficulty if you’re having trouble, but this challenge can easily be boosted. If you die, just try again.
- Triple Boluk-Bashi
Kill all 3 Ottoman officers in Young Men’s Work with melee kills in the campaign
This achievement / trophy is unlocked in the Nothing Is Written – Chapter 3: Young Men’s Work. To kill all three officers, try lowering the difficulty to recruit to make this challenge much easier. There are three areas with Ottoman soldiers on this map, with one officer each. Officers are distinguishable by their black uniforms.
- Village: Find the officer in the two-story building marked with flags at the center of the village. The building looks like a command post from afar, with sandbag emplacements and patrolling guards. The office is inside, alone and on the second floor. Use a melee attack on him.
- Weapons Depot: The officer moves around, but can usually be found in the square two-story structure (with flags) on the edge of the depot. Find him on the roof, or in one of the nearby tents.
- Ruins: Appears under the large command tent. Watch out for the armored soldier hear — don’t accidentally kill the commander with explosives.
Get all three melee kills, and the achievement / trophy will pop before completing the mission. All you have to do is get the three kills.

Multiplayer – Achievements / Trophies
There are two types of multiplayer progression — your profile rank, and your class rank. Every class feature a separate rank progression. Playing as an Assault will earn you XP toward Assault Ranks; playing as a Support will earn you XP toward your Support Ranks, etc. No matter what class you use, you’ll always earn global XP for your profile rank.
There’s no special trick to earning multiplayer achievements. Ranks will happen naturally, and warbonds are the currency you’ll gain by completing matches. None of the multiplayer achievements / trophies require skill, just time. Although, it won’t take you that long to level up and reach Rank 10.
If you’re looking for legit ways to earn XP faster, follow our recommendations here:
“Counter-Sniper” is the only ‘challenge’ style task. If you play as a Scout, you’re going to kill another Scout class eventually that’s just the odds. If you’re looking to earn it fast, focus on opponents that hover outside the action. Their long, thin rifles are usually a tip-off. You won’t see Snipers running around with SMGs or LMGs.
To unlock “Play the Objective” you’ll need to join a Squad. The Squad Leader will issue commands to attack / defend points — always follow the Squad Orders. If you always play in a Squad, you’ll earn more XP and naturally unlock this. Even if you’re (practically) nowhere near the Squad Order marker, just being in the same squad that completes orders will add to your total.
If you’re stuck on a Squad where the Leader doesn’t issue orders, it’s time to bail and join a new squad. A Leader that doesn’t issue orders is effectively useless. Of course, you can always start your own Squad and issue orders.
