Check out the spooky new additions to your skin catalog in Overwatch with this quick gallery for Blizzard’s limited holiday event. These bonus costumes add Fall flair to 12 lucky heroes, but you’ll only be able to get these skins through Halloween-themed Loot Boxes — and don’t worry, you can use regular credits to get the crates this time around. The “Halloween Terror” event is only going to last from October 11-November 1, so if you’re interested in earning any of the 100+ cosmetic items, you better get online fast.
So, I hear you asking, which characters get frightening, devilish costumes to show off their dark sides? Here’s the dozen you’ll get to choose from; Ana, Bastion, Hanzo, Junkrat, Mercy, Pharah, Reaper, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Soldier: 76, Symmetra, and Zenyatta. There are also new Victory Poses for everyone, sprays, emotes, and gun skins.
The special event also includes a PvE mode with Halloween-themed versions of familiar heroes — Dr. Junkenstein (Junkrat), Junkenstein’s Monster (Roadhog), a Not-So-Wicked Witch (Mercy), and the Grim Reaper (Reaper, naturally) — as they combat armies of undead robotic rejects. The mode only allows you to pick one of these four heroes. That almost turns it into a riff on Call of Duty: Zombies, doesn’t it? Here’s hoping there’s an elaborate Easter egg to solve here too — Blizzard does seem to love its ARGs if the Sombra mystery is anything to go by. Whatever the case, enjoy the spooky thrills for the rest of the October season.
