There’s a bundle of Dynamite in the Trading Post outer room — one of the missable rooms you’ll only find in the West Gate area of Blue Prince. The Trading Post is used for swapping items for other items, which doesn’t sound too useful until you get the powerful Moon Pendant. Even without items, you’ll quickly notice there’s a bundle of dynamite on the left wall — it isn’t clear what it’s for, but your character won’t take if it you interact. They’ll say it’s “too dangerous”, but that only begs further questions.

If you’re curious to see how to use the Dynamite and want to see what reward awaits you for using it properly, here’s a full guide explaining every step of the process. And if you’re looking for solutions to other mysteries, learn how to enter the Underground, how to open all three Antechamber doors, and how to reach the mysterious Room 46.

How To Use Dynamite

There’s a bundle of dynamite located in the Trading Post — a room that’s only available through the West Gate on the Grounds of the house. Learn how to permanently unlock the West Gate here. Once the West Gate is unlocked, you’ll be able to reach an Outer Room door with various special rooms — the Shrine, Hovel, Shelter, Tomb and more. One of these West Gate rooms is the Trading Post.

The Dynamite is on the left wall inside the room. It can’t be picked up and only gives a cryptic warning when interacted with. If you want to solve the puzzle, here’s a very quick explanation.

  • Dynamite Puzzle: The Trading Post dynamite bundle seemingly has no use when you first arrive. To light it, you need a contraption called Burning Glass.
    • To craft Burning Glass, you must draft a Workshop — an uncommon room — and combine a Looking Glass and a Metal Detector.
    • Use the Burning Glass on the Dynamite to light the fuse. You’ll automatically leave the room and wait for the explosion.

The explosion reveals a hidden part of the Trading Post with a bonus reward.

What’s In The Hidden Room?

After setting off the Dynamite with the Burning Glass, a hole will appear in the Trading Post. Inside you’ll find a pile of coins and an Upgrade Disk.

  • Rewards:
  • +40 Coins
  • +1 Upgrade Disk
  • A lore note.

The Upgrade Disk only appears once, but the coins will respawn if you blast your way into the Trading Post each time. You’ll need to bring the Burning Glass each time. The room has a hidden moonshine still and the 40-coin take. It’s one of the best ways to get a big stack of gold coins if you don’t have any other methods available.

How To Get Burning Glass

Burning Glass is a contraption used to light candles — it can also be used to light the fuse on the Trading Post dynamite.

  • Contraptions are built by combining items on the desk in the Workshop.
  • Combine a Looking Glass + Metal Detector to get the Burning Glass.

Metal Detectors can be rarely found in Closets, for sale at the Commissary or in Green Rooms. The Looking Glass is also found rarely in the Library. Both are fairly common and available to collect on a long run.
