Genshin Impact reintroduces the Mistsplitter Reforged to the Weapons Banner to run alongside Kamisato Ayaka. Though highly reminiscent of the Raiden Shogun’s sword, this is indeed Ayaka’s signature weapon. And yes, Kamisato Ayato can use this sword too.

The Mistsplitter Reforged is best for characters with Elemental Infusion attacks or who inflict primarily Elemental DMG instead of Physical DMG. When using any Weapon (with the exception of the Catalyst), all characters deal both Physical DMG and Elemental DMG. Physical DMG is represented by white numbers while Elemental DMG is represented by numbers with the same color as the character’s element. The more color you see popping up over enemies, the more Elemental DMG that character deals.
Characters that can best use the Mistsplitter Reforged include Ayato, Alhaitham, Bennett, and Keqing.
Weapon Skill – Mistsplitter’s Edge
At R0, this weapon provides its wielder a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for their Elemental Type. This bonus can stack up to 3 times. With each stack, Elemental DMG is further increased by a certain percentage. Each stack has an individual duration. The wielder can gain stacks in three ways, each with a different duration based on how the stack was obtained.
Normal Attacks with Elemental DMG carry a duration of 5 seconds. Casting an Elemental Burst generates a stack for 10 seconds. Finally, having less than 100% Energy grants a stack until the wielder reaches full Energy.
Refinement
Each Refinement level increases both the base Elemental DMG Bonus and stacked Elemental DMG Bonus. The base Elemental DMG Bonus increases by 3% per Refinement, bringing the total to 24% at R5.
At R0, each additional Elemental DMG Bonus stack increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 8%, 16%, and 28% at stacks 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Stack 1 increases by 2% per Refinement, stack 2 increases by 4% per Refinement, and stack 3 increases by 7% per Refinement. At R5, all 3 stacks will be increased to 16%, 32%, and 56%, respectively. In all, the Mistsplitter Reforged can increase the wielder’s Elemental DMG Bonus by 80% at R5.
