Call of Duty: Warzone – Is There Split Screen Support?

January 8, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Does Warzone support couch co-op?

Nowadays, multiplayer games are predominantly played online and couch co-op is not as popular as it once was. Due to the declining demand for split screen, developers often leave the feature behind. If you do want to invite a friend over to play video games, you may be exploring your options. If Call of Duty: Warzone is at the top of your list, this guide will tell you everything you need to know about whether or not the battle royale has split screen capabilities.

Throughout Call of Duty history, Activision has implemented split screen in their games. It allows two people to play a game using separate controllers, but on the same device. This can lead to hours of fun, as well as hilarious and sometimes competitive moments. Warzone is a completely different experience to past multiplayer experiences, so you may be wondering if split screen has followed the franchise’s transition into the modern era.

Can you play split screen in Warzone?

The short answer is no, Warzone doesn’t support split screen. The only way you can play with your friends is online via separate devices. The game does have crossplay, however, so you can hop into a match with your friends on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

If you still want that couch co-op experience, all hope isn’t lost. If you’re able to, you can take your console to a friends house and set up your very own gaming session. Also, Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer does have the option for split screen, allowing you to battle it out beside your friend on various maps and modes. Unlike Warzone, Modern Warfare 3 isn’t free to play, so you’ll have to splash your cash on a copy of the game.

At the time of writing, the development team has no plans to add split screen to Warzone. We will keep your updated if that changes, but the probability of that happening is highly unlikely.
